“Headed to Slingshots this past weekend. Gotta admit, my friends and I really enjoyed ourselves. Drink specials were OFF THE HOOK! For those who can't stand the political decorations....just leave. No one is forcing you to enjoy your time there. I personally enjoyed it.“

“We love this place. We have a family of 5 and we spend $150 so it’s expensive but I am picky on where we go and eat because we usually eat all organic and lots of veggies at home so anywhere I like it’s more expensive. It’s a nice place to come occasionally when you really don’t want to cook dinner but you also want something good locally. We have crazy kids that run around so I really like the outside eating area so I don’t have to worry about disrupting a restaurant. It’s a casual place, you pay when you order, you grab your water and beer when you pay. There’s usually a long wait the locals no to come right at 5:00 to get your order in. The longest we waited was 2 hours usually it doesn’t take that long but it can. Kelsey gave us a free beer that time which was cool. It’s definitely not a place to come if you’re in a rush but more so if you’re wanting to hangout and have a couple beers and chill before you eat. We like the pretzel, grilled cheese and tomato soup, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, potato wedges, and the cheesecake is to die for! Not a fan of the fish tacos.“

“Dropped in for Breakfast before rafting. Raining at camp so we came in to dry off and get some food. The Coloma Club is a diner with a ton of character in a remarkably rural spot between Auburn and Placerville in the foothills just outside of Sacramento. You'll sit between Coloma locals, motorcycle tourists, river guides and river runners in a building which has seen a lot over the years. (Just check the picture section). The food was diner food. Not pretentious or over-wrought, but capably prepared and it hit the spot on that cold Fall morning before we ran the American River. If you're looking for crepes, a fresh fruit and yoghurt bowl or gravy made from scratch this might not be your destination. But for a comfortable meal in a great setting surrounded by an eclectic mix of people you'll be stoked.“

“The wine was really delicious, but the inside vibe is very weird. The inside felt outdated with the red flooring and old furniture. However, the outside deck is gorgeous and has so much potential. I would suggest they play music in the background and have their workers know how to use the register better.“
