Best Chinese food in the Valley. Unfortunately Topanga Canyon Blvd is closing August 21, 2018. Owner states Building being demolished to put new building. Good news Pasadena and China Town restaurant still open. Long Beach one coming soon. Don't forget to order the slippery shrimp.

First, I must admit I have been eating here a few times per year since they opened many years ago. Yang Chow serves "American Style" Chinese food. If you are looking for the authentic Chinese cuisine that you find in Chinatown, you will not find it here. The owners and employees are always nice and the service is good. The prices are quite high so you better get ready to pay the bill! Try to ignore the poor appearance and maintenance of the exterior! All in all.... Average.

As a native of the east coast, I grew up with Chinese food every weekend. The family would fight over boxes of different orders so everyone would get to try something they liked. The food was always good, cheap, and quick. Remember those days? Well, I came here with incredibly high expectations after a colleague recommended them. We were having lunch on a Tuesday.
