“Tried this place for the first time on a random Wednesday afternoon/evening. Service was fast, ambiance is nice, but food was mediocre. Not bad but definitely not my favorite. They had happy hour. I tried their margarita which actually turned out to be rather strong. I couldn't even drink half of it.“
“Loved the resturant and the employees were amazing, helpful and kind. While I know this is fine dining the portions are very small. My scallops tasted tinny. They are supposed to have a sweetness to them. In my opinion the method of cooking and seasoning was off. The appetizers were just ok. We ordered two veggie sides and they were just ok. If your using local veggies sauces are not needed to make them delicious. I realize I'm picky. The menu just may not be for me. Nothing sparked I have to come back. I wish it did. The staff was amazing. I feel like the restaurant needs a menu restart. Maybe something the chef and the cooks are passionate about serving.“
“Phenomenal! We’ve eaten at nearly every Michelin starred restaurant in San Diego county (Addison, Soichi, Juene et Jolie) and, while we loved each experience, we enjoyed Valle the most overall. Others had more creative dishes or more highly polished service, but Valle struck a great balance between excellent service, wonderful tasting food, great atmosphere, and friendliness.“
“Where can I start, this is by far some of the best Peruvian food ever! Always hot and fresh, their hot sauce is amazing. Just a little but it goes a long way, super savory. If you're looking for something tasty this is the place to go, and they cook pretty fast which is a plus. Everything in their menu is good!“
“This place is SO good my friend and I are here for the fourth time in the past two weeks ha! Seriously, the drinks are delicious and perfectly strong, the food is 10/10. I recommend the carnitas taco it is SO DAMN GOOD! They add crumbled chicharrón that takes it over the top. When in Encinitas give DBT a try you won't regret. Bonus - staff is awesome!!!“
“Such a delicious dinner! We stumbled upon this little gem in Encinitas. Authentic Peruvian food and cozy atmosphere. Niko was an awesome server and we were tempted to try all the specials, but ended up sharing some empanadas and small plates. The veggie empanada was our favorite. 10/10 would recommend!“
“Suuuuper Overpriced for what you get. I had the steak frites and it was tiny steak cut and had a lot of sinew for $32. Drink prices were pretty high too for only ok quality. Other entrees and salad were good but again off the mark for the price. Very friendly and accommodating staff, awesome people. Live music was cool but super loud so if you wanna have dinner with the big music inside is the place to be, otherwise don’t sit inside…consider a table outside or in an area away from the band or you won’t even be able to talk to/hear one another.“
“Pleasantly surprised! A very nice date night meal of Caldo de Siete Mares (a special, not on regular menu, with scallops, shrimp, octopus, mussels, calamari, fish and lobster) and steak fajitas. Delightful! Also a nice dessert of passionfruit creme brulee, also excellent.“
