Very poor. Website says happy hour 330-530. Get there they say it's holiday so no HR. We're there 340 gave us lunch menus as we had said we'd eat early since no HR. Res was 5. Trying to decide wine before. 2 other tables had people. He comes back says sorry have to use dinner menu. Told him we're leaving. Too much switching of everything! Such a disappointment. We come to town often as we own locally.
The service was very good. We both had steak and lobster; the filets were prepared perfectly and the lobster was succulent. It was an excellent meal. We will return!
The Caesar salad was mediocre, nothing special. I don't know why it is so difficult to make a delicious Caesar salad. The lobster was delicious. The filet mignon was a little tough. I wanted everything to be spectacular. I'm was excited to eat there, but disappointed. I want it to be a great seafood restaurant on the peninsula. But it's mediocre. I think an exceptional cheft can create an exceptional seafood restaurant, after working through its problems. Best of luck!
The service was impersonal and entree's were unimpressive. The calamari appetizer was probably the best thing there as far as food. There was live music and that was awesome. When we made the reservation we stayed it was for an anniversary and there was no acknowledgment of it, but there was a big “to do” for the birthday table next to us. Do I care about the acknowledgment of the anniversary, no, not really, but when you make a reservation and the establishment asks if there is a special occasion then I assume it is because they will in some way have an acknowledgment of the occasion. This is not place we will revisit
My meal was not good and my husband was just okay. The place is nice the ambiance is good. The prices are high . This is only the second time that I rated a place this low. I expected the food to be better for the price. I don't like to give low reviews but wanted to be honest. Hopefully they will improve.
I so enjoy the sparkling Prosecco and the caviar upon arrival. White staff excellent service and the food delicious. I've been here several times and I've never been disappointed.
AMAZING!! Such a wonderful place to dine!! Started with fresh oysters & crab cakes BUT even before our appetizers, they provided a special champagne & caviar service - soooo special!! For our meal - Lobster Risotto was just CRAZY GOOD!! It had plenty of lobster BUT it was topped off with shrimp scampi & scallop - CRAZY good!! Macadamia nut crusted halibut was so clean and fresh and well prepared with potatoes augratin!! What an amazing food delight!! THANK YOU ❤️
We were there for our 3rd anniversary from Sacramento but we go to Carmel a couple times a year and we always go Catch, it's so nice to get a starter of a touch of cavier with a little sparkling wine, the calamari is something we always get for an appetizer but the crab Louis is my favorite, maybe, until last night, my husband got the lobster risotto, I think that is my new favorite. Monica will greet you and she is so sweet and will do anything to make your night better.
Wonderful service and always consistent phenomenal food. Always a go to restaurant in Carmel. Thank you!!
Exceptional experience! We were welcomed with champagne, caviar, and warm bread. The crab cake, prawn spaghetti, and Caramel Sunset were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A perfect blend of taste and elegance. Staff were very good and helpful—great service all around. Highly recommended!

Came after the dinner rush! It was nice and quiet. Service was slow despite a mostly empty restaurant. We tried to order oysters but they didn't have any and then they charged us for them on the receipt! Overlooking the service, the food was DELICIOUS! 😋
They didn't bring us complimentary caviar, as they did for those around us. Besides that, was great.
There's a reason when a place in downtown Carmel has openings on a busy Saturday night. The seafood is really kind of gross. Sorry to say it, but nothing we had was worth going back, ever again. Clearly, a place simply to bring in out of town tourists, that will be unlikely to ever return. In a word, meh. At best.
Driving down 17 Mile Drive from Pacific Grove we knew friends are frequent visitors of Carmel. We messaged and asked them for a lunch recommendation and we received several. But they shared the best seafood can be found at Catch. That's where we drove to.
We were promptly seated in the dining room which had a nice ambiance. Right away we were served complimentary small portion of Caviar and a very small glass of Champagne - an unexpected but appreciated way to start the meal.
After reviewing the menu I ordered their local specialty Monterey Bay Sand Dabs while my wife ordered their Grilled Salmon. We drank our beverages (I had an Italian Pilsner and my wife a French Chardonnay). After an appropriate time our lunch arrived.
We both really enjoyed our meals - the Sand Dabs were tender, flaky and flavored with a creamy piccata sauce and served with a side of rice pilaf and sautéed vegetables. My wife's Salmon was served with a Saffron cream sauce and baked potato au gratin.
The service was very attentive and friendly. We have no reservation recommending Catch in Carmel to any friend. We look forward to returning in the future.

Great food. We had the lobster risotto and the pasta with prawns. Both tasted great and had an abundance of seafood. We'll definitely go back!
