“My husband and I spent a few days in Carmel and came to this place twice because we enjoyed the iced lattes and croissant sandwiches so much. Tulip picking was a fun experience as well, but be sure to come early as the parking lot fills up quickly on the weekends especially with nice weather. It was a bummer the customer service was quite lacking, but it wouldn’t deter us from stopping by again!“

“This place has really turned around in the past few months under the new manager, Marissa. The staff is very friendly and engaged, orders are made quickly, and the food and beverages taste great. Employees even come up with their own seasonal smoothies!

Past complaints about slow or absent service, lazy bowl assembly, etc. are totally justified because that was also my experience. However, I'm glad to say that the Big Squeezy of today is nothing like that! I highly recommend.“

“Came around 4:30pm and avoided the dinner rush around 5:30pm! Overall, I am thankful Monterey had a nearby vegan restaurant (with so many options too) but the flavors could be improved. Nachos 3/5 nothing special. Fish tacos 2/5 not that flavorful even with the mango topping Chicken taco 3/5 ok Potato taco 5/5 best taco imo! The outer crispy layer was done nicely and the potato was nice and warm inside :) Spinach salad 5/5 simple yet so delicious! Strawberries, jicama?, and pumpkin seeds were a nice touch. Great contrast to the rest of the meal (light feeling). Special shoutout to the salad dressing (a sweet, applesauce like taste 😋)“

“I was so tired today from not sleeping I was ready to curl up and die. I walked in on a whim, I'm not a vegan or vegetarian or anything, but the food tasted really good and had nice texture and I felt a lot better words. Staff was really friendly.“

“Lupita's strikes again! Once again, completely delicious food! The quality of their food is so good that you won't feel that yucky takeout feeling after eating there! You will feel like your Mexican mom made you a batch of rice and beans! The key is their oaxacan roots! I love how they make their quesadillas with like a thick masa. The tamales are bomb, masa is seasoned correctly and then the fillings are so good. we love the chicken mole ones but also like the rajas and the salsa verde. Today we branched out to try their tortas and new burrito bowls. outstanding! Ask for some Oaxacan cheese on your burrito bowl! Okay, now the bakery... There is always a debate on who has the best donuts on the Monterey Peninsula, I always hear about the donut places, but for me Lupita's is the best. their donut is substantial and then the chocolate on top is decadent! I really keep saying, who would go to any sole donut shop when you can get so much variety here? Donuts, donut holes, cakes, cookies, pan dulce! and my ultimate favorite... a loaf of morning glory bread!!! Like a carrot cake bread with oats! trust me! super delicious! Lastly, they are super friendly! I love their staff! I am currently working with them to do custom donuts for my son's upcoming birthday! They are always willing to work with their customers to make them happy!“
