Fantastic experience of hospitality and cuisine! Colin was super friendly, responsive and charming. Inspired new California cuisine was delicious! We had a nice private dining room for our daughter’s Birthday. We will definitely be back!

Five for dinner. Portions are medium-sized. Fish was about 6oz. Photos are in order 1. Striped bass, prepared with skin on. I asked for the sauce on the side. Without the sauce, the bass was somewhat fishy and was served with sliced, purple potatoes. 2. Black cod. Flavorful sauce with a bit of spice. 3 Spicy crab noodles - yes, spicy with a lot of flavors. 4. Scallops, nicely prepared, grilled served with hush puppies. 5. Curried chicken with rice was the largest of the portions. 6. Flourless chocolate cake? A large marshmallow.... very sweet. Service was great, we weren't rushed. Atmosphere was open, light & crisp. Food...the fish was prepared properly, still moist and flaky. All menu entree prices were upper $30 - $65. Each of our meals were mid-$40's.

We were seated right away inside on a rainy Sunday afternoon without a reservation for 4. Colin was our server and was extremely friendly. Food and drinks were great! ??

Wonderful! We were four people... we ordered 3 starters.. Beet Salad (beautiful) Mac & Cheese and the Asparagus. All delish! Mains were Scallops, Hamburger, Spicy Crab noodlesx2.... Amazing! Lastly, we shared the Bread Pudding, Cherry Crisp and Olive Oil Cake.... Again very Tasty! I enjoyed one of their cocktails... so refreshing I had two. Great ambiance. Our waiter and staff were pros. We'll be back!

Was over charged for bottled water we didn't even order and 1 beverage we didn't have Otherwise was pretty good . Most people in our party of 8 liked their meals... Skip the $35 Fish and Chips!

We sat outside near the fountain and it was lovely! Our cocktails were fun and everything we had was very good although - I would skip the calamari. The octopus was delicious & tender & mushroom soup was wonderful. We will definitely go back!

The food was horrible. It was over salted, way too much sauce on the fish. The most unsophisticated food I've had to date. We felt like we were eating at a low end wharf restaurant. There were three of us, each ordering something different. Everything was bad. The bruschetta was odd, over salted, no tomatoes? The waiter made sarcastic remarks about our food and drink choices. Spent a lot of money , very disappointed. We are locals but will never go back.

Waiter was training someone. Less tan attentive. Manager assisted nicely but for the $300 tab for two we shouldn't have had to flag them down to take our entree order so uncomfortably long after the appetizer plates were cleared. Same after the next course.

We had a wonderful "family reunion" having dinner at the Pocket--the food is amazing from the brussel sprout and asparagus appetizers to the main courses of short Ribs, risotto, Scampi etc. Cheese cake dessert is fabulous. Thank you for such a memorable evening at your wonderful restaurant.

The Roasted Delicata Squash to share is outstanding and a “must try”. The West Indian Style Curried Chicken was spiced just enough flavor and the meat was tender and moist. Great place for dinner!

We love this restaurant. The staff is friendly and we rely on their food knowledge and recommendations. Fantastic food, cocktails, and ambience. The salmon tartlets (a special) were incredible!

Here's what I think. I like this place. The food they serve is interesting, that is different. We shared octopus, ox tail. Tasty? Yes but not hot. They have a happy hour. It's not cheep. The food was interesting, just not hot. To me I feel like happy hour. I would

This was an incredible restaurant. The food was inventive and excellent. The service was impeccable, the ambiance was beautiful and classy. This was a last minute decision to go there based on a recommendation from our hotel, the La Playa. This will be our first choice when we come back to Carmel

This place has never disappointed me when it comes to food. The portions are large and everything tastes great. The outdoor seating is very comfortable but the electric heaters overhead can be a bit too much. They have no way to lower the heat, but think if they installed an adjustable switch it will be perfect. The service was overall great except they have a hidden up charge for the Martinis. Why can’t they just tell you upfront ?The manager, a tall large lady was very abrupt. She was trying to take the drinks knowing that we were still drinking. She stood there to force someone in our party to drinks it. My leftover plate was removed without asking me if i wanted it to go.Otherwise we have been eating here multiple times on special occasions because it is pricey. The bar is the best in Carmel by the sea and the wine selection is excellent.Parking: Have to find parking off the street. Usually nearby parking spots are all taken.
