The most civilized place to dine in Carmel. We are always made to feel like guests visiting a friend in their cozy dining room. As for the soufflés—delicious, a bit decadent and most enjoyable. Given that it's only lunch service, there is no reason not to get 10,000 steps on the beach post-lunch! We will be back!
Lisa is an absolutely lovely and personable host. Makes everyone feel so welcome and right at home. Ivan makes the best soufflé you will eat in your life. The two of them together deserve a 6* rating which I unfortunately cannot give. My dog loves them too!
For a change of pace try this cute restaurant where service is very personal and the soufflés are tasty and abundant. The fixed price menu is excellent with three courses. We had a delicious salad and warm bagged to start. Our soufflés were seafood w/lobster for my wife and mushroom for me. Both sumptuous, beautifully baked and abundant.
