Bake It Up is a beloved bakery known for its delicious food and amazing customer service, with staff described as kind and nice. The baked goods are made to perfection with the best ingredients and lots of love. Popular items include the Arabic tres-leches style cake, noted as the most moist tres leche ever, the jalapeño & cheddar bread, and the brown butter chocolate chip cookies. The $12.95 Dubai croissant with dark chocolate kataifi coating and pistachio filling is totally worth it, and the Baklava croissant is also popular. The bakery is halal, which for many is the icing on the cake.
A point of frustration is the limited gluten-free menu, currently offering only one item, a GF choc chip cookie, which is often sold out. Some customers hope for an expanded GF variety that includes items without chocolate. Despite this, the food is consistently delicious with generous portion sizes, making it a true treasure in the East Bay that is definitely worth trying.
