Food was absolutely delicious. Been craving for it ever since last visit! Service was outstanding!

Our first experience with India Oven. We picked up an order of lamb Pasanda Newman, rice and garlic Naan. The Pasanda was good but had only 6 pieces of lamb. They charge extra for rice (it always comes with the dish at other places). The garlic Naan was tasteless and looked like it was a day old.

Small portions but adequate for most people. You are asked regarding the heat and medium was too hot for me! Tasty.

Food is very bad here. Ordered Chef’s specialty Chilli Paneer; which was extremely watery with just some onions, tomatoes and chilli powder! This could not be eaten as a side gravy for breads. Aloo parathas were not cooked well. Vegetable pulav was super bland with absolutely no masala in it. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

I can’t believe I have to do this. This isn’t the same India Oven that I’ve been eating at since its grand opening back in the early 2000s. It’s sad for me that I have to write off the best Indian food in the desert. However, after having a poor dining experience, I gave them 2 return visits and it’s worse. The quality of the food is NOT the same AT ALL. It seems like they cater to white people as the food has little to no spice. Also received my food today and it tastes like its old with mushy vegetables, watery daal, etc.I’ve only ordered Vegetarian- in over 15 years— my order has NEVER included a dish of meat.My order today included a chicken dish and I was short a vegetarian dish. Just so disappointed and it’s no longer worth going.I’ll never return.

As an Indian visiting Palm Springs, The restaurant is below average both in food and in service. The Naan we ate was burnt on one side and undercooked on the other. Also, The roti was mixed with AP flour and not just wheat. The vegetables in the entree were not cooked and had muddy remains for the most part. When we mentioned this to the manager, they said “thank you” and left. The kitchen is very shabby and unhygienic. The price of the food does not match the quality of what was served to us..

I'll start off by saying this was our go to spot for Indian cuisine. We frequented this establishment with the occasional carryout, it was great until our last visit, in which we sat down and ordered our usual. veggie Tikka masala with chicken added. No where in the menu does it indicate the use of nuts like some of the other dishes do. (partner is very allergic to certain selections of nuts, including cashews)And we usually tell them while ordering to be sure. But we have gotten this SAME dish before, no problems. When the dish was brought out, we immediately noticed a different selection of veggies were used, mainly consisting of black beans and corn, no potatoes like there were last time, bummer oh well, We didn't think much of it until my partner took her first bite and was greeted by a hidden cashew. They then proceeded to tell us they used nuts.. but we haven't ever seen them in the past or we clearly would've had an emergency on our hands. Not sure what happened here, but we will not be coming back due to the inconsistency of their meals. Beware

Spent 30 dollars( before the tip) and got a little container of Mango Lamb with 5 small pieces of meat and Naan. Didn't receive any rice. The flavor was good but barely enough to feed a child let alone an adult.

Food is always great. Sadly, they no longer include rice with dinner entrees. Had to cook my own rice to go with the more than $100 delivery order. Sad.

After so many years of loving this restaurant, it has fallen off our list. I'm only reviewing in the hopes that the current owners will take heed. The staff is very nice, so nothing personal, but the food the last few times was not good. More spicy hot than flavorful. The service and ambience is looser than it used to be, which would be okay, but the staff was not very attentive, and the music they played sounded like Indian rap music. Maybe they are going for a younger crowd, dunno, but the experience overall made us not want to go back again.

The malai kofta and garlic naan were perfection! It is a must try when you visit the Coachella Valley area. If I could give it 100 stars, I would.

Picked up food from here. Disappointed. Naan felt stale. It was chewy, undercooked and shapes were different, like one square and three corners of different sizes. Didnt feel like they made a fresh one for take out. As if like naan pieces were from day ago or from buffet. Also found hair on naan so kinda felt gross. Paneer tasted alright.

The place is quite small, so come early or late, because there will be a wait otherwise. This is because the food is just incredible. They might have the best onion bhaji in the region. The spice level is appropriate, although I should have grabbed a level gihigher for my taste. Service is personable and professional.
