8 Best Barbeque Restaurants in Chico

“Last Friday, we came by to rent a storage unit and ended up staying for a late lunch at CJ's. What a hidden gem in north Chico! It's no frills counter service, with a large dining room, and open kitchen. I appreciate being able to see the clean kitchen & prep area with my own eyes. I ordered a grilled chicken salad - it was huge, overflowing with tons of fresh toppings. The staff was hustling through a rush, and yet they were all so attentive and nice. CJ's is a Pepsi establishment, which makes my Diet Coke loving heart a little sad... but the food more than makes up for it. Now I need to time my storage unit runs around lunch hour so I can work my way through the menu! A burger will be next :)“

“The grilled spam musubis are absolutely addicting especially with the suace! The breaded crispy chicken is very good, tender and crisp! Friendly service,fair pricing along with generous portions. The Musibis for me are the flag ship of what's offered,simple yet very satisfying.“

“I think their restaurant is permanently closed and they only do catering now, but I wanted to leave a review because these guys and Mo's were the best BBQ places in town and now they're both gone. Honestly, I actually don't think there are any BBQ places left now. This place was amazing, 10/10 and their meats were always juicy on the inside with a nice char on the outside. They will be sorely missed.“

“The Beaver has very nom drinks. They usually sell whiskey and moonshine, but Bella there is an awesome bartender and makes you feel at home. This is also another bar that does allows dogs (or cats) on a leash. The food they serve here is amazing as well. Very good place to visit for a drink.“

“First ever visit and more then likely my last......I was only there to rent a U-Haul from the store but I can say it's a very cool and interesting place to stop by looks like they have a bit of everything and the lady I spoke with was nice and friendly and very professional got us checked in and confirmed and outta there in no time we were driving off.
