“Sonora location. Tried when first opened and few weeks ago. It was clean (new) and great service. Re-visited yesterday and totally the opposite! Counter was dirty, all food was low. It was 4 o’clock and not busy. The cook, other gentleman and waitress was very unprofessional and unsanitary! The cook, yes while wearing gloves, continued to touch dirty services and our food. At one point he had his cell phone in his hand looking at it while cooking our food. Phone back in dirty pocket, touching his hair then back to cooking our food! The conversation between the three of them were load and unprofessional. I was so ready to leave! Definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.“

“I had been craving barbecue for weeks. I had to go to Roseville for an errand , while driving around hungry I saw a dickies and decided to pull in. I meet the nicest people I had the best brisket sandwich I’ve had in years and the freshest crunchiest coleslaw. I walked out there one happy camper. Can’t wait to return.“

“We had a 33rd birthday party for our son, his band and groupies, party of 11. The mgt Kien/Kenny was very accommodating with our reservation, running a slide show in our private room and the lobby while our guests arrived. The seafood pancakes, desert, and spinning the prize wheel were unexpected treats. Some may think it's pricey but when I consider that for the price I would pay for a basic Rib Eye dinner elsewhere, I can have as much Rib Eye, as well as a variety of other meats, chicken, shrimp, sides as I can possibly eat, it's very reasonable. Most of our group were 1st timers, so the cultural experience of new foods, cooking at your table the way you like, made for a unique experience. Our group of 20 something yr old punk rockers had a lot of fun, the service and food were excellent. We'll be back...ps. call ahead to gauge the crowd and bring an appetite.“

The chicken had a flavorful dry rub, and the skin was perfectly crispy while the meat stayed incredibly juicy. The tri-tip was tender and packed with flavor, and the brisket had a rich, smoky taste that hit all the right notes. But the surprise standout? The tri-tip chili—absolutely outstanding! The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and comforting, and that loaf of garlic bread didn’t stand a chance once we got started. Add in friendly, helpful service, and you've got a 5-star experience. “OMG! 1st time here. had to wait a bit for fresh, delicious food. service was great , food is OMG so good, the Mac salad just yummy. went today around 6pm, staff was friendly and attentive, even when customer/ pick up person was super RUDE because fresh beef had to cook, with his food workers and woman are below be attitude, Sonya I think her name was handled herself well and continued to work along with co workers to get orders out, food fresh. “Unfortunately, the air conditioning was down, and the restaurant was extremely hot. I felt sick shortly after walking in, and many other guests looked just as uncomfortable, wiping sweat while trying to eat.
For the price, you expect a comfortable dining experience, and this just wasn’t it. I hope they fix the AC soon because the food and service deserve better. The food was great. The service was amazing but in the Summer in 100+ degrees you’re just trying to have a good meal and escape the heat. Please fix your air conditioner not only for your guests but also for your employees.
I come about once a week. But this is my first time while it’s been this warm out. I might choose somewhere that has a cooler atmosphere next time.

But our waitress Megan she was amazing. This is the second time we’ve had her and she’s so nice and quick to get our table ready with appetizers
She’s extremely friendly.
She got our togo boxes when I expressed my discomfort with the heat and was very apologetic. She’s definitely a gem.

“I was having post vacation blues and missing Maui. Fast forward two weeks and I still got it bad. I was craving lau lau and musubi- some comfort food and the closest thing I can get my hands on is L&L. The lau lau hit the spot, not sure if it was wrapped og style with the ti leaves bc it was a little on the dry side but it would do and it still hit the spot.
