My wife and I have eaten here a few times over the years but this last visit might be our last. The buns on our burgers were stale, and the burgers were extremely overcooked, the fries were good, but not good enough to make up for the terrible cheeseburgurgers.
I really wanted to like Big Al’s, especially because it has that classic old-school drive-in look and has been a Chico fixture for a long time. Unfortunately, I came away pretty underwhelmed.
The food was okay, but honestly nothing to write home about. It wasn’t bad, but there was nothing about it that made me particularly want to come back. The service was perfectly fine and I had no complaints there.
