“We held our wedding here in October of 2025. The owner and staff were truly so invested in our event and everything went perfectly. We had several planning meetings with the owner where we were able to customize the restaurant setup and the menu for our guests. We rented the entire restaurant, had a three course meal (with 3 different entree options), open high-end bar and wine/beer bar on the outside patio. They cleared out the inside dining room and set up a charcuterie buffet for our guests and let my friends come an hour early for setup. The staff was SO amazing the night of our wedding - special shout out to host Mike, bar tender Zach, and the server who got on the dance floor!

We chose this place to host our wedding because of our multiple good experiences beforehand, but we were unprepared for the excellent service we received from beginning to end. The cost was VERY reasonable and I have recommended the place to many people for personal dinners and events. Their 'sister' restaurant Rione is also AMAZING !!

“The Beaver has very nom drinks. They usually sell whiskey and moonshine, but Bella there is an awesome bartender and makes you feel at home. This is also another bar that does allows dogs (or cats) on a leash. The food they serve here is amazing as well. Very good place to visit for a drink.“

Currywurst isn't bad, potato salad is amazing, great burgers, sausage plates, and sandwiches. This is always one of my go-to spots in Chico.“

“I have to go to this place every week now. Ordering is easy, convenient, and you don't have to talk to anyone if you don't want to (huge win for quiet people). Despite the small space and limited menu, the food and drinks hold up to the quality you'd find at the main location. You may have already driven past this place a few times, and especially if you work on this side of town, you should try it out.“

“Very friendly staff. My coffee was regularly filled even though the place was busy. Food came out hot and tasty. I even asked to sub a different meat in my omelet. Pleasantly surprised to see that I was not charged for it on the bill. Of all the places fimdimg reasons to upcharge customers, this restaurant did not. My children and I will be back. “What a really neat little hole in the wall restaurant in Chico in the middle of college town. If you're looking for some good Chico barbecue don't skip here. The brisket was juicy and tender and the service was just as good. 10/10🤘“

“Nash's Restaurant Review I haven't been to Nash's in years, it was always a place where you could get a satisfying dish of food with a nice atmosphere. On this day, Nash's was hopping and busy with every table filled with happy customers. The wait was not long to be seated, once I received my menu with a 4 min wait my order was taken, in no time my plate arrived. My waitress Amy, was friendly and had a patient personality and excellent interpersonal skills, responded to all my questions about the breakfast menu. I ordered the half plate of Carnitas Benedict, that came with one poached egg on an English muffin with carnitas, avocado and dice tomatoes, all topped off with their delicious house verde sauce with a bit of cilantro, my choice of side was their hash browns, in my opinion "The Best Hash Browns In Chico" Nash's was just like I remember, really good food with a great staff. I highly recommend you stop in for a bite to eat and try the Carnitas Benedict Breakfast. I will definitely be visiting Nash's more often. All in all I'll give that visit a 5 Star Rating.“

“If you are not intimately familiar with this place and a regular patient, then basically I don’t know what you are doing with your life. Carlos makes incredibly good food, the portions are solid, the drinks are delicious and not a rip off, the bartenders are nice and fun, it’s just a great place. “The new owners saved this place for the community. They are heroes and they transformed it into exactly as it should be - The Cheese Steak Shop standard. “I grew up in Chico and returned here after 16 years of living in a larger city. Living in Meriam Park has been a dream transition space as I reacquaint myself to the eccentricities and community Chico offers.

I work from home and enjoy the ease of access to coffee at Daycamp, the dog park for my Boston Terrier, Dottie, and an after-work cocktail at Roselle's. The frequency of events (many of them free!) at The Barn is also wonderful. Despite the bustling business activity during day and night, I do find the neighborhood quiet with the low hum of the day ceasing in the early evening.

The amenities of the apartments are also a huge plus! Pool, dog wash station, bike storage, secure package delivery, fitness center, AND rooftop grilling? Excellent. My two-bedroom, two bath serves everything I need for both living and working in my home office. The buildings have up-to-standard mini-split units and my electric bills hover around $100-$150 depending on the month (and sometimes it's less). The fixtures, appliances, and finishing touches do not feel cheap and work very well. There is also a TON of storage. The grounds are well maintained and well-lit in the evening so I never feel nervous walking Dottie late at night.

Finally, the staff who support living in Meriam Park are prompt and very friendly. They greet me whenever they see me, even if they are off the clock. I feel confident in the support I have living here and the cost is absolutely a worthwhile investment.“

“we booked the tackle box for our work holiday party and it delivered big time. Our theme was cowboy christmas and the venue was perfect, they even had the DJ cowboy that night which was absolutely perfect. The staff were all great and definitely went the extra mile. “Last Friday, we came by to rent a storage unit and ended up staying for a late lunch at CJ's. What a hidden gem in north Chico! It's no frills counter service, with a large dining room, and open kitchen. I appreciate being able to see the clean kitchen & prep area with my own eyes. I ordered a grilled chicken salad - it was huge, overflowing with tons of fresh toppings. The staff was hustling through a rush, and yet they were all so attentive and nice. CJ's is a Pepsi establishment, which makes my Diet Coke loving heart a little sad... but the food more than makes up for it. Now I need to time my storage unit runs around lunch hour so I can work my way through the menu! A burger will be next :)“

“Jack’s Family Restaurant absolutely delivered. We ordered the Ultimate Breakfast Burrito, the Pick Your Breakfast, and the Mini Jumbo — every plate came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Portions were huge for the price, and everything tasted homemade and satisfying.

What really stood out was the service. Our drinks were constantly refilled without ever having to ask, and the staff stayed friendly and attentive the entire time. It’s hard to find places anymore that combine great food, fair prices, and genuinely excellent customer service like this.

If you’re in Chico and want a solid breakfast spot with big portions and a welcoming atmosphere, Jack’s is definitely worth the stop.“

You know the ones, with the iceberg lettuce and the bread that tastes like nothing. You want a MANS SANDWICH. You’re not walking around on your twinkly toes. CONS: overpriced, too much mayo on their regular burgers, portion of sides way too small, you need a code for the bathroom.“

Behavior that was questionable and the staff handled the situation extremely professional and with lots of patience.
