“I'm happily surprised about this gem of a restaurant. I spent most of chico passing this place when going to other restaurants but finally decided to go to this place check it out and honestly, pretty cool place. It felt uninviting at first seeing through the window is a pool table looks like a club or something lol but nah its chill I ordered a pizza called chicago's favorite, why? Because I noticed they had a deep dish option and I thought what better pizza to deep dish-afy than a chicago styled pizza? Overall, a really good pizza, savory, a pleasant aroma. A complaint tho, I was expecting a deep dish to be filled to the brim but it was just a medium pizza with the crusts pointing up. Also I wish the crust was more chewy Layout: I went in the morning and first thing you see is the giant pool table, hang out with friends to play pool, they got the sticks and balls on the wall Second thing I noticed, a tv playing a cartoon, throughout the morning, I realize they just play whatever, first a cartoon then a live action show Extra note: I couldnt finish the pizza so I brough it home and throughout the day, the aroma of the pizza wouldnt stop and I think that experience also inflated my view of this pizza, probably I asked for water, they didnt seem to have water cup and water dispenser so they gave me a bottled water and charged me, I asked it they had a water cup and they talked to each other for a bit, uncharged me and then left... so I took the bottled water for free and paid for pizza sounds like a good deal. Hee hee You can make any pizza flavor a deep dish, it just has to be medium or large size When the pizza came out, they offered ranch so I said sure, also offered parmesan, pepper flakes and a paper plate so yes kids, throughout the morning, I think the kids are related to the owners of the restaurant so maybe they're here often, playing with their marbles, you can hear the marbles being played with, I didnt mind As I looked up to the menu screen, the lady told me I could just grab a physical one, that was a lot better, I took pics of every page for yelp Also, what a beautiful menu, you can see it in the pics but I really like how attractive it is and how easy to navigate it is despite being creative with it's design Idk why there's 2 posts of the same velly pizza on yelp. “Portions are LEGIT! Food tastes great. I love how they bring a side dish of refried beans with the chips and salsa to start off. Each time I have went I was happy with the whole experience. I tried the birria taco, carnita, and fish last time. “
“The people are so kind! Very hospitable and always willing to help you pick. The food AMAZINGGGGGG!!! 100% so bomb! Some are so dang spicy but if you ask they will remove the jalapeños. We have eaten here every time we get a treat meal. I hope they stay around because they are some of the best favored food in Chico I swear!!! They are about 12$ a meal, food is overflowing, they are so kind and they are like a blend of taco truck. Crazy fries, plates, burritos, burgers, butter chicken, sandwiches and so much more AND ALL ARE AMAZING!!!!“
“The sushi was very good - with not an overwhelming menu but covering the typical spectrum of a sushi bar. The restaurant is nice and offers a sushi bar if you want to watch the games. Service was good and were always checking in but not bothering you. It's clear the sushi chef takes pride in his/her plating of food. Definitely recommend. Those who gave this place a low rating must be use to prison food“
“Very enjoyable evening out with our friends. The food and libations were delicious and our server was attentive and sweet. The way the tables are positioned was a little odd, so the couple seated behind us was very close. Would benefit from a taller partition between.“
“Went in for my first time today after checking out their menu online. Dave, the owner, was so nice and welcoming and suggested the Smokey Joe and his fresh Bacon Potato Cheddar soup. Everything was sooo yummy!! The spicy BBQ sauce has just the right amount of heat and the soup was delicious and comforting! Definitely my go-to sandwich & soup spot from now on. Thank you Dave!“
“I always have an amazing experience at this location. Staff are always attentive, food is always good, and wait times are always fast. We usually go around noon and avoid the dinner crowd, so I can't speak to the business then, but the wait staff always work hard, and it shows!“
“OMG, the flavors in these burgers and plates. All the food on the menu is amazing and I tried many burgers and plates. They have a large selection of local and imported beers. Service lacks a bit, I'm not sure if they are understaffed but every time I come, the waiter rarely comes around. The place itself has an amazing ambiance (for Chico), large windows to look to downtown, and a very pretty patio for nice weather lunch.“
“I have been recommended this restaurant more than a dozen times. Here we are! This place lives up to the hype. Absolutely amazing food. I ordered a Country Benedict with Sausage and my guest ordered a 1+1+1 combo. This place has such a warm and vibrant environment. Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Restaurant is always busy (which is usually a good sign unless you're impatient). Personally loved the food thoroughly. Country gravy was seasoned to perfection. I was very impressed. This place is must visit. 15/15“
“Called to order a 3 topping pizza for girls night. Was informed of prices for all sizes of pizza for 3 Toppings and once I chose a size I was told 15 minutes until it's ready.Arrived to a friendly host and helpful kitchen staff who quickly got our order to us.If you've never been this place has an at home environment, arcade games, and a nook full of family friendly board games!We took our pizza to go. The crust was crisp and not soggy or greasy, the ingredients used were all clearly made in home and my child said its the "best pizza ever"$33 for a 18" (large) 3 topping pizza to go and it was ready fast! I've supported this location because the owners supported me when I sold them a car, but not just for thar their pizza is way better tasting then the one downtown like same name but taste flavor profile on different planets I would go out of my way to go here well worth the money.“
“food is bomb, i get the crunchy roll and I have no complaints other than the fact that the rolls are kinda small. very expensive for the quality but it'll do on Mondays when other sushi restaurants are closed. Drink selections are good but also quite expensive and not enough alcohol for the price. staff is friendly, but tables are small.“
“Woodstock's feels like the quintessential neighborhood pizza parlor. We dined here this past weekend for lunch and both ordered the meal deal: salad, slice, & soda. Prices have sure gone up in recent years! We carried the slices directly from the counter to our table... no waiting. They were large, probably 1/6 of a large pie... the crust was pillowy soft, and even though I prefer it a bit thiner & crispier, it was tasty nonetheless. Salads arrived to our table after we were nearly done with our slices, which felt a little delayed considering they were lettuce + side of dressing. I prefer a salad as a starter, but our slices would have been cold had we waited. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch on the patio while we watched the bicycles flying by during the Chico Stage Race. I think my personal pizza tastes would draw me elsewhere, but I can certainly see this being a great patio for dining with friends when better weather arrives.“
“Our family enjoyed the homey and cozy atmosphere of this classic American diner. They have a senior and a kids menu so all ages were happy. The place was quite busy and the tables were a bit crowded, but we didn't have to wait long. The food was as expected and hit that comfort spot. I appreciated the friendly and straight to the point waitress. Anything fried was well made and the ranch dressing was yummy.Kid-friendliness: Classic kid menu and offered a Sundae add on which made my 8 year old happy.“
“Would recommend! Inviting staff and overall aesthetic of the place was nice. Outdoor seating if you want with nice lights and pups allowed. I had heard the margaritas here were really good and let me tell you they were great!! We tried the avocado peach and the blackberry, both blended with a Tajin rim. Chefs kiss, they were delicious and we will be back for these again! We tried the quesabarilla tacos and the Baja tacos (pictured) which were tasty and did not disappoint . Several menu items looked and sounded good and were gluten free.“
“The 2 man, 1 woman (McBride?), were terrific. On the downside, the young boys in charge of tables were clueless. No eye contact, scowling faces, no bussing of the used dishes (they didn't even look). One would practically have to trip them to get their attention. The price of food is horrific but it's also really good. All in all, if there is entertainment or if you just wish to sit in the outside garden area and enjoy the surroundings, an interesting menu, good food, and beautiful building and surroundings...this is perfect.“
