“Sushi was great but service was not amazing. I received a roll that had tobiko all over it even though I specifically said no tobiko on all rolls. They also forgot my Thai tea...they brought it to me at the end of my meal so i asked them to put it in a to-go cup and they kindly accommodated my request. They also do not have many high chairs available. Two in the entire restaurant.“
“Everything was very delicious. Fresh sushi and delicious flavor. The girl who served us (left-handed with Chinese hair) was super friendly and always with a good attitude :) my family loved the food. We just really enjoyed dining at this place.“
“We went here for a special occasion, and the restaurant didn't dissapoint. The sushi is high quality and (unlike a lot of other restaurants) they use short-grain sushi rice to give it the proper texture. The staff were very friendly and helpful. To my delight, this seems to be the only Japanese restaurant in town that has genuine buckwheat-only soba noodles, which tasted great and let me enjoy noodle soup despite having a gluten allergy. The atmosphere is quite nice, and the food is presented well. I'll definitely come here again.“
“Jilly and a young man served us yesterday. Their customer service was so great, the food and green tea were absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing and the price was affordable. My mom, sister and I sat outside. Since moving to Chico almost 2 years ago, Big Chico Japanese Restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants. That’s saying a lot since we literally only have 2 favorite restaurants in all of Butte County.“
“When my son and I first arrived, we were kindly greeted. Since there were two of us, I thought we would be able to get a table. We were told there would be a wait, but not how long. We decided to take a seat at the bar. It appeared to me that others who had come in after us were given tables on the empty left-hand side. After our drinks came we were offered a table. Our waitress continued to check on us to see if anything was needed. The food was great as usual.“
“My husband and I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and imperial roll and bought a vegetarian plate for a family friend. All was very delicious, and the chicken was tender and flavorful.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian plate, Vegetable and Rice bowl, and Imperial roll, which is a veggie spring roll.“
“I went on a Saturday and it was packed with people. There was plenty of fresh food but drinks were an extra charge. The price was reasonable and affordable.Wheelchair accessibility: They were very accommodating and had plenty of options for wheelchair accessibility.“
“I was in town visiting, COCO was recommended by some friends and boy do I regret going.. NOT because the food was bad but because I cannot find any other Ramen that comes close the the taste of the ramen I had at COCOS I’ve had RAMEN in four different states since my visit and I cannot enjoy it because all I could think about is the warm spicy ramen from COCOS I cannot wait to visit again and enjoy more than one bowl of ramen.“
“Always great food. Cheapest price for a delicious meal. The dining area is pretty small, only 8 or 10 tables, but everyone, staff and customers, are always in a good mood. Most people do take out but it's a nice little place to sit and eat if your not looking to lounge or for a quiet place. This is always our go to when we can't agree on somewhere.Kid-friendliness: Kind of a small dining area, Maybe if your kids are super well behaved and can stay in a chair while you eat, you'll be good.Parking: Multiple businesses in this complex but parking is close but easy“
“Okay, if it is your first time stick to small plates. But avoid the shrimp unless you can afford it. 3 dollars a piece but the best l have had.If you like Thai or Indian curry then don't get it here. It is gravy with no kick, not yogurt or cream based.“
“Hubby, toddler, and I went for the first time. The chef was very engaging and fun to see. However food was okay. Chicken was overcooked and dry and rice was heavily salted. It was definitely a fun experience. I just wish our food hadn't been so salty lol. Sushi was phenomenal!!!! When we went it was a empty which was nice. The chef was very engaged with our toddler which she absolutely loved. It's a decently priced place. Along with our sushi, 2 hibachi dinners, and one kids hibachi dinner we spent a little over 100. For it being so empty it would have been nice if our waitress had come by a bit more often for drink refills.“
“This is my favorite sushi place hands down. They serve the largest portions and have the best selection. My favorite item is the Mission Impossible roll, the sushi chef creates his own masterpiece. My kids love the Chinese food there as well.Kid-friendliness: My kids love the chow mein and orange chicken.“
“food is bomb, i get the crunchy roll and I have no complaints other than the fact that the rolls are kinda small. very expensive for the quality but it'll do on Mondays when other sushi restaurants are closed. Drink selections are good but also quite expensive and not enough alcohol for the price. staff is friendly, but tables are small.“
“this place is a drive through sushi place that serves superbly fresh and delicious sushi in a time frame comparable to the lunch rush at McDonald's! if you are craving sushi and don't want to deal with all the people-ness of your typical sushi bar, give sushi burrito king a try!“
“The food here is very flavorful and, according to at least one person I know who is from South Korea, captures the essence of this type of food pretty well. While I'm largely unfamiliar with the various dishes, after coming here twice I can say that the two I got were delicious. I like all the appetizers and sides they bring, which is evidently a major part of Korean dining. There are a variery of pickled vegetables that seem to go great with everything else they serve. This is a full-service restaurant, so adter you order at the counter they bring your food out to your table in courses and clean up when you leave. I'll be eating here again.“
