“I'm not sure why the rating is so low but I see some older reviews that might be bringing it down...however, we had a great experience while visiting this Bartel's.

We ordered a giant burger, with tots, over the phone, along with a peanut butter milkshake.

I don't think the burger is identical to the other locations, which is understandable because they aren't all owned by the same person, but it is still quite good. And the tots were excellent, as was the shake.

Aaron (...at least I believe that was his name) was a great host, answering all our questions and encouraging us to look around.

Both the interior seating and the patio out back are both quite comfortable and gave us a lot of options.

We look forward to trying the regular non-burger items on the menu too.“

“The Palomino room has always been a Tehama county staple, but Carlos and Becca have taken it to new heights. Aside from them providing an amazing restaurant experience with awesome food, (shoutout to Byron and the rest of the kitchen staff)….The Zapata’s are heavily involved in the community and giving back. They love their staff and take care of them any way that they can. If for some reason you ever receive less than a satisfactory experience, take the 10 seconds to send them a message. “As a mom to 4 kids, Lariat Bowl & Mini Golf is always our go-to place. They’ve recently remodeled the whole inside. They have added to the fun with an arcade with a prize dispenser, laser tag and a bounce house. This is our new favorite family-friendly spot!“

“Just pass the town tonight and find this place to eat. This is my first time saw an Apple Bee and IHOP in one restaurant. Went there pretty early for the dinner and it seemed took them too long to seat people even when there were plenty vacant tables. I ordered all you can eat meal. There are three choices and you can mix and match them. What I ordered were shrimps and rib lets. Somehow they brought the correct shrimp plate and a full rack of rib plus a big bow of chicken salad. I realized they made a mistake and asked a pass by waiting staff and he said everything is right for what I ordered. Even the fellow customers knew the mistakes until a lady waiting staff heard our conversations and saw the dishes and she took the wrongly served dishes away.“
