The convenience of having a pleasant, low-key wine tasting room in downtown Chico is always a great place to pick up a bottle of something new and different from the usual 'daily drinking' wines one might pick up at chateau du Safeway. I have always found the server(s) certainly pleasant some more knowledgeable about the actual history of a particular wine than others. But of the several less that flattering reviews I just read, I wouldn't put much stock in those individuals....read full review
I had the most amazing birthday party at the LaRocca tasting room. I'm so glad I decided to have my party there. Not only is their wine and champagne fantastic (organic-sulphate free!), it's also ideal for the kind of quaint and intimate gathering I was desiring. Everywhere I turned, there was a sweet face to converse and catch-up with. We brought in a great musician to play his saxophone while we all danced around. I'm reviewing the delicious bottle of sparkling wine I purchased at the Chico farmers market. I was saving it for when I had a guest as my husband isn't drinking at the moment. It was worth waiting for, I may have been able to drink the whole bottle. :))) I will be going to the tasting room soon.
