“Scott and Carlos have created a truly elevated bar experience in Chico. The thoughtfulness of the menu, design, and bar program are in a class of bars in larger cities.

Dana, Drew and the other staff are intentional in their appreciation and take the time to break down the sometimes complex recipes.

With the way this bar/lounge is set up, it’s supposed to be that way, it might take some old timers and luddites some time to figure it out… but don’t pander to them. Keep doing what you’re doing! We loved it and brought some first timers who loved it too!

And not to mention you can book through Google maps, and a few other ways online. This place is ahead of the curve for Chico

“Kind of sad when a business faith is dictated by reviews dating years and years ago. Kind of like herpes, if I may, they never seem to disappear, specially when said reviews are detrimental and no longer apply to the present.
Finally I went to this poorly rated establishment for their Taco Tuesday Special at $1.25 each.
I should add that previously someone brought to our place the Monday Special, Burger night, which at this day and age must admit was unbeatable and rather tasty. The kind of special that defies all odds. Also, previously as well had their Wednesday Chicken Wings Special. That one, sadly, a fiasco. Super dry wings, devoid of all appeal, but for the money the quantity was decent.
Anywho, Tackle Box simply rocks, and from the looks it distinguished itself as a truly unique scene. Staff reeked of good manners and friendly demeanor, which I must confess, truly appreciate. The shower singer in me wanted to get up on their stage and make a fool out of myself. The square footage truly mind altering, and the one question nagging me was: why the few and not so good comments? The bar alone is quite a sight!
Tacos: small but loaded, easy to devour but please no less than 6, or will wish it had been. Salsa, meats, sauce, not shabby at all. Staff, as happily mentioned, nice as can be. Restroom particularly clean and originally decorated. Heard Happy Hour beers run for $4 a piece? If so, it would take quite a few to tune ? up.
I thank the good man that drove us there. Karaoke Night Sundays? Buzzed enough I see no reason why I would not make a fool out of myself, God knows over the years I repeatedly have in good fun. Johnny Rivers “Poor Side of Town” seems about right. Tackle Box is an original, and from what I heard, the ownership which dates back and crew deserve plenty of recognition. 1 star 6 years ago, 10?

The fries were fantastic, crunchy, thin cut, with a seasoned exterior that almost reminded me of a thin layer of tempura. They were so good! The burger was equally wonderful. Pro tip use the sauce for the fries on your burger! We topped off the meal with a couple tall cans of hazy IPA from California micro breweries. I'm heading back next chance. It is just a liquor store parking lot, but what food truck has nice atmosphere? None I have ever been to.Great food with reasonable prices.I like everything I have tried, which is most of the menu. My go-to is the chicken wrap. The gyro quesadilla is really good, too. It is listed as an appetizer, but it is a large and filling quesadilla.The burgers are also very good, but they have a Mediterranean flavor, so don't expect the typical taste of your standard American burger.The chicken sandwich is dark meat, which I prefer, but I think it is worth noting so people do not expect the standard white meat chicken patty.As far as I can tell, there is only one person who works there(the owner), and he makes everything fresh to order, so I recommend calling your order in ahead of time. It will take 15-20 minutes(or more if you order a lot and/or they are really busy) to be ready. I see this as a plus. Most food trucks have everything premade and simply assemble ingredients instead of making it for you when ordered. I have watched him meticulously plating food with great care. “I have lived in this town for the last 26 years. First let me say that this is the BEST pizza -- not only because it's locally sourced where possible but also because they actually give you enough ingredients for a nutritious meal.

That is one of my major complaints about other places that serve pizza; there are places in town that do a decent business who serve pizza that is basically bread with $.25 worth of ingredients (if it's a vegetarian for example), where they take ONE mushroom and chop it into 10 slices and spread it around and a very small portion of a Green bell pepper or an onion and they spread all this around to make it look like there's a lot of food. And they don't give you much cheese. and they spread the tomato paste as if it were an expensive facial cream. You know who you are that make those kind of pizzas, and shame on you!

Vegetarian options: both vegetarian and meat and of course it's locally sourced as much as possible. The staff is friendly and I know the owner because my band played here several Times.

Parking: The parking lot probably holds 10 cars but along the side street there's a lot of parking no problem.

Kid-friendliness: they have chalk on every table that kids can draw on the table.“
