“Kind of sad when a business faith is dictated by reviews dating years and years ago. Kind of like herpes, if I may, they never seem to disappear, specially when said reviews are detrimental and no longer apply to the present.
Finally I went to this poorly rated establishment for their Taco Tuesday Special at $1.25 each.
I should add that previously someone brought to our place the Monday Special, Burger night, which at this day and age must admit was unbeatable and rather tasty. The kind of special that defies all odds. Also, previously as well had their Wednesday Chicken Wings Special. That one, sadly, a fiasco. Super dry wings, devoid of all appeal, but for the money the quantity was decent.
Anywho, Tackle Box simply rocks, and from the looks it distinguished itself as a truly unique scene. Staff reeked of good manners and friendly demeanor, which I must confess, truly appreciate. The shower singer in me wanted to get up on their stage and make a fool out of myself. The square footage truly mind altering, and the one question nagging me was: why the few and not so good comments? The bar alone is quite a sight!
Tacos: small but loaded, easy to devour but please no less than 6, or will wish it had been. Salsa, meats, sauce, not shabby at all. Staff, as happily mentioned, nice as can be. Restroom particularly clean and originally decorated. Heard Happy Hour beers run for $4 a piece? If so, it would take quite a few to tune ? up.
I thank the good man that drove us there. Karaoke Night Sundays? Buzzed enough I see no reason why I would not make a fool out of myself, God knows over the years I repeatedly have in good fun. Johnny Rivers “Poor Side of Town” seems about right. Tackle Box is an original, and from what I heard, the ownership which dates back and crew deserve plenty of recognition. 1 star 6 years ago, 10?

“Spiteri's is still the GOAT for sandwiches in Chico. I don't know what makes their sandwiches so good, but they are seriously like crack. And I never have to wait long; I'm usually in and out in <10 min. And they have a cool selection of canned sodas, such as Squirt Zero or A&W Root Beer Zero, which are really hard to find in stores. They also have many excellent sides to choose from, such as potato salad or lobster mac.
My order: sandwich on wheat roll, turkey, pepper jack cheese, all toppings plus onions, sprouts, and jalapenos (gotta have that kick).“

“Overall, good experience. The food was okay, but nothing amazing. Several items tasted reheated or even from frozen. That's understandable as the prices were pretty fair. The scallops were breaded and deep fried which I didn't expect but I'm not complaining because they were really good. The oil in the fryer probably needed changing but it was acceptable. The crab cakes were interesting with a crumb breading and deep fried instead of baked but still tasted good. The chowder was the only thing I didn't take any home because it really did taste about like canned chowder, so not bad but just not special. The clam strips were great, way more tender than the stuff I can usually get at the store and nice browning. Mom liked the calamari strips but wished they were served with honey mustard. The bread was tough though, so I revitalized out at home with a wet paper towel in the microwave, all fixed! The melted butter was insanely garlicky and the herbs were perfect just overwhelming for what we had. Still, gonna use the leftover on steak and it's going to be amazing.
The staff was polite and attentive, with no complaints about the service.
I honestly regret not getting the special, clams in white sauce. I bet that would have been the best thing.

It is just a liquor store parking lot, but what food truck has nice atmosphere? None I have ever been to.Great food with reasonable prices.I like everything I have tried, which is most of the menu. My go-to is the chicken wrap. The gyro quesadilla is really good, too. It is listed as an appetizer, but it is a large and filling quesadilla.The burgers are also very good, but they have a Mediterranean flavor, so don't expect the typical taste of your standard American burger.The chicken sandwich is dark meat, which I prefer, but I think it is worth noting so people do not expect the standard white meat chicken patty.As far as I can tell, there is only one person who works there(the owner), and he makes everything fresh to order, so I recommend calling your order in ahead of time. It will take 15-20 minutes(or more if you order a lot and/or they are really busy) to be ready. I see this as a plus. Most food trucks have everything premade and simply assemble ingredients instead of making it for you when ordered. I have watched him meticulously plating food with great care. It is clear he takes a lot pride in his cuisine and cares for the customer's satisfaction immensely.The owner is always very polite and friendly and has a very warm and welcoming smile.Solid Five Star food truck, and some of the best food I have had in Chico.I have recommended it to every one I work with. Several people have tried it and they all love it.Don't miss out on this gem of a food truck!

“Just passing through and stumbled upon the place. What a great find, outdoor seating so you can bring your furry friends and family. Service was excellent with great hospitality. The cheese sticks were so delicious and the local green olives some of the best. We shared the jalapeño popper pizza. This too was hot, fresh and amazing. The crust was crunchy, but very light and could hold up with all the toppings. This place is a must and will definitely be going again.“
