Rice Bowl Reviews
My husband & I went to eat at the Rice Bowl for lunch and after we ordered our drinks and looked at the menu. always been great service and amazing food but tonight was an experience I'd never encountered food amazing as always but service was far below my normal experience. main reason being I was charged an automatic gratuity because of a large party that I understand what I don't understand is the audacity to charge me a automatic gratuity and still charge me for a second drink after I didn't receive my meal till I asked for it 3 times after everyone else had already ate. mind you...read full review

Rice Bowl is a restaurant known for its friendly staff and decent food, but with some inconsistencies. The restaurant has been a staple in Chico for years, and though it recently experienced a management change, it appears refreshed. The staff is generally helpful, with Liz, the hostess and waitress, standing out for her wonderful personality and professionalism. While there have been instances of delays and mistakes, the service remains quick and friendly. The food can be inconsistent; however, some dishes, like the Philly roll and spiny tuna roll, are consistent and well-liked. Recent reviews highlight the flavorful sweet and sour pork, which has a slight crunch, along with delicious pork fried rice and chow mein. The portions are large, and the restaurant uses a system to keep track of customer orders. Customers have noted improvements in cleanliness and updates to the interior, making it an inviting place. Despite past issues, Rice Bowl continues to be a popular choice for its convenient service and is on its way back up in quality.
