The Grill - Chico Reviews
Johl and I went last night and everything was fantastic!!! Absolutely perfect. We had the ribeye and a hamburger and split them. The macaroni and cheese was a magical surprise and the brussel sprouts never disappoint. We didn't remember the jalapenos on the sprouts and that was an awesome add on, guys! The seasonal cocktails were amazing and our service was awesome too! So much fun!!!
Where do I start... I'll tell you where I will start and it's the brussels sprouts! Out of this world. Tossed in what I think is a hot, honey Sriracha sauce with what tastes like clouds from heaven. Ambience is amazing in our server Rose was attentive, kind, and thoughtful. I legitimately can't wait to come back here again. I'm sure glad my kid is going to Chico for the next 4+ years, cause that means I can come and eat here about 35 times over the next four years.
It's called "The Grill" but there was only one beef item on the menu and no chicken. The menu as a whole was limited. This may be an indication why there was almost no one in the place.

The Grill is a popular restaurant known for its excellent food and service, making it a go-to choice for special occasions. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including classic dishes like eggs Benedict and French dip, as well as fresh and flavorful offerings such as steak salad, salmon, and burgers. Customers particularly praise the hollandaise sauce and béarnaise. The ambiance of the restaurant is enjoyable, creating a great atmosphere for a celebratory meal.
The Grill is praised for its accommodating staff and attentive service, even for large groups. Customers have enjoyed delicious drinks and food, with the menu being described as filled with "delightful offerings." Many guests appreciate the fresh and amazing food, though some have noticed occasional inconsistency in the quality of certain menu items. The restaurant's interior has a nostalgic vibe, especially with its location inside the Hotel Diamond, built in the 1930s. The lobby and restaurant area evoke a vintage atmosphere, and there is an elevator for easy access to all floors.
Recent reviews mention that the steaks are good cuts of meat, though sometimes a little overcooked for requests, which diners still enjoyed. The cocktail list is appealing, with at least one very tasty drink. Service is generally good, but some noted that staff could be more attentive. The bar offers a happy hour option, which some customers plan to try next time. Overall, The Grill provides a very pleasant experience with comfortable seating, excellent service, and wonderful food, making it a favorite for both brunch and dinner. However, there have been occasional issues with reservation notices and special requests, which can be disappointing for guests celebrating special occasions.
