We went to the new covered place they put on Main St. Everything is okay, but the taste of the hot food…not much. The adobada was very golden brown and doesn't taste like adobada. The birria consomme was too seasoned. A roast meat cake, very greasy and the meat dry and tough. And the tacos are almost $5 for one.

Mariscos & Birria El Prieto is a go-to establishment in the heart of Main St. Chula Vista. The setting consists of two food trucks, each of which specializes in either Mexican seafood dishes or land and air. The food from both trucks is very tasty. The aguas frescas are very refreshing too. The consome stand is a free for all great addition as a side or enjoy while you wait for your orders to be ready. The staff is super friendly and so are the customers. I always make new friends when I go there.

The food is not very good, regular portions, lack of seasoning, customer service is not very good, the music is too loud that the waitress can't even hear you, they made a mistake in my order twice, if you are looking for a new place maybe look in another place but I invite you to try it my experience was bad I would not return but I invite you to judge

There are no directions at the entrance, and no one greeted us to show us where to order. Once I made my way towards the food trucks and was looking at the menu a male waiter rudely told me to place my order up front, terrible attitude. Food was alright, shrimp was definitely low quality and overpriced. Overall not the most friendly atmosphere, I’ll probably stick to ordering online.

Place looks great, great environment and they keep it clean. Food lacks of flavor, Salsas are spicy but no flavor, I order a taco that never came and my cocktail had only shrimp and it was supposed to be a shrimp and octopus. They take the longest to bring tacos or at least to Us that was the case. Overpriced for the lack of flavor. First and last.
