“The food was amazing, the outdoor atmosphere felt like you were in a jungle, the interior of the building was so eclectic that I’ve never seen anything like it. The service on point. I am bummed that we don’t have a location like this in San Diego.Parking: The parking steps away from the front door, but doesn’t impact the experience at the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The staff was very helpful with the kids.“

“I enjoy this location. My last few visits I’ve been trying the seasonal lobster meals. Perfect for the cold season. The restaurant is clean with stylish decor. Almost feels like SF. The owners are friendly and warm up my chocolate chip cookies which I get every time I come in. Delicious to come by at least once a week. The menu is vast and it won’t disappoint you.“

“Appetizers arrived before the main dish, and the service was a little slow. The waiter was nice and the food was good. Manager comped Appetizers so overall it was still a good experience. Workers (a man/ woman) at the door were rude & appeared unhappy! I'm glad we didn't have to speak to them again.“

“I usually get one of their many salads. They are well-prepared and delicious. You have to order at a counter and your food is brought to your table (non-alcoholic drinks are self-serve). The staff are great, but it isn't a full service establishment. The decor/atmosphere are utilitarian.“

“Stepping into Mendocino Farms at the Freeport location for the first time, I was greeted by a lively atmosphere and the enticing prospect of a culinary journey, thanks to their commitment to fresh ingredients. This set the stage for what I anticipated would be a delightful lunch. The menu was a testament to creativity, offering a diverse selection of sandwiches and salads designed to satisfy various tastes. The chicken sandwich, a classic choice at many restaurants, typically promises a pleasing crunch and a balance of flavors. At Mendocino Farms, however, my experience was somewhat inconsistent. Although the ingredients were undeniably fresh and the bold flavors typically found in their sandwiches were present, the chicken sandwich was excessively crunchy to the point of being noisy while eating. Despite this, the quality of the chicken was not diminished; it was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying sauces and vegetables created a harmonious blend of tastes. On my next visit, I’m inclined to try a different sandwich.Service-wise, Mendocino Farms excelled with its amiable staff and streamlined ordering process, reflecting their dedication to ensuring a positive customer experience. Even when my colleague’s dish was accidentally served to another customer, the staff promptly offered to prepare a new one, further demonstrating their excellent service. The outdoor seating area was picturesque, but I found myself wishing for adjustable umbrellas to provide better shade coverage, as some spots were left exposed to the sun. Overall, while there were areas for improvement, the visit was a pleasant one.“

“It is always a great place to eat with great sandwiches and daily soups. The employees are always very friendly and professional even if they are new and still learning.I guess my only con is that the prices seem to have gone up since I've started eating at this chain, but that is inflation.“

“The restaurant is well-decorated with art pieces and is a small family owned business. The service was a little slow during New Years, but that's expected. I've been here a few times for dine-in and takeout and the service was quick and welcoming. The Thai tea float and drunken noodles are my go-to!“

“I am updating my previous review. As mentioned before this place is clean, food is great, and just needed some improvement in customer service. Well the last few times I went in for my clam chowder bread bowl the customer service has been excellent. Nice warm welcome as soon as I entered, and a thank you for coming in as I leave. Thanks for implementing the feedback. Every one has been super friendly. My husband's favorite is the pastrami sandwich and I took a bite and it is a must try.“

“More free food for me. It's been donuts every day for three days now. I'm not complaining but the scales not being very nice in the meantime. Someone kind enough to feed our sugar addiction on our team brought these lovely thingies this morning and I had a try of a couple. These are nice and fresh, no complaints from me. Donuts are donuts but they're not stale or bad so I say five stars. Old fashioned and crumb were delicious and they all got eated so definitely worth whatever they cost. As you can see some were gone already by the time I finally decided to get one. Thank God for free donuts on a Sunday.“
“I love their food. My favorite items from here is their laab. I don't know any where else that sells raw tuna and salmon laab. The flavors are refreshing and delicious. I'd highly recommend trying these items. Their pork belly and Hmong sausage is also to die for. Perfect with a side of purple sticky rice and pepper.“

“Any time I'm feeling a salad this is easily the place at the top of my list. Their salads are decently priced and usually have the perfect amount of ingredients and I sometimes even had the homie at the counter hook it up with some extra dressings. Now tbh the times I've gotten sourdough on a sandwich, it's a little too tough for me to bite into cuz all the insides just go out the other end of the sandwich, but overall this place is a hidden gem ppl need to know about!“

“Never disappointed, except on Sundays when I can't get it and seem to crave it most! Best fast food chicken in my opinion. Can't get enough of the chick fil a sauce. I put it on so many foods! Very well organized and super friendly staff.“

“The food and service at this establishment never disappoint. It’s a great neighborhood spot with a low key and relaxed vibe. I particularly enjoy the patio and that part of the restaurant has roll-up garage doors to make most of the interior dining area open-air. Breakfast is served late, which is a bonus. The only potential drawback is parking - the parking lot is modest. You can find 2 hour parking on Freeport and in Land Park but the side street parking around the restaurant is one hour only. I’m not deducting stars for that, though. I hope this place is here for a long time.“

“The clam chowder was AWESOME! I was hot thick and creamy. As far as the service I wanted a soup that was not on that day's menu which they informed me of but also told me if I didn't mind the wait they would have to warm it for me. The soup was the broccoli ? cheddar and it too was delicious. They were polite and friendly and the place was clean.“
“My wife and I ate here for the first time today. Our food was very fresh and tasted delicious. The dining area was very clean. The staff, especially Jenny, were very polite and didn't make us wait long for our food. Definitely will be back.“

“Quick drive thru trip to get some chicken nuggets and that bomb Mac n cheese with the real bacon bits sprinkled on top! I was already hooked on the Mac n cheese but the bacon on top takes it to a whole new level! Trust me!! No pics this time cause I was being greedy!!“

“Okay. So hands down the pizza is really great. My husband got a California Love with no cheese at all extra sauce and I had the vegan cheese on a create your own pizza. I also ordered the 6 piece buffalo sriracha wings and let me tell you… The wings were not it.. They came out super oily and what seemed to be under uncooked. I took them home and put them into the oven for a bit longer and they still didn’t make a comeback. We both ordered separately, it was very inexpensive and I would definitely recommend them FOR THE PIZZA.Vegetarian options: They have plant based cheese, meat, and lots of fresh vegetables to add as toppings. They even have seafood if you’re pescatarian!Kid-friendliness: Definitely great for kids! You can split one pizza between two children if you needed too!“

“I've been coming here since Husick's was the BBQ joint, and it was one of the best, if not the best BBQ I've had. Finally made it in after they changed ownership and made it a pizza joint. This place is still phenomenal! Courtney is still here greeting and serving the guests with her outstanding attitude and A1 service and the place has that warm and local spirit. The food is delicious! My wife and myself ordered the garlic sticks and the combination pizza. The garlic sticks were perfect! Not too garlicky and the bread was just crispy enough. The pizza.....the pizza was full of flavor! All the toppings were fresh, the cheese was stringy and the crust was perfectly cooked to perfection! All you pizza lovers know that if your artisan pizza is good down to the crust, that's a real work of flavorful art. Don't forget the fabulous local craft beer selection!“
