“Coming back from the lake and I wanted a local burger spot and now here we are. I don’t usually eat the things I ordered but today was a cheat day and I’m glad I did. The chili cheese fries were hot and fresh. The Western Wrangler burger was more like a steak sandwich, but it was pretty good even though I don’t think the patties are fresh. What sealed the deal for me was the root beer float. Not sure why it tasted so delicious that I had to order another one. Best part was being able to sit on my tailgate and enjoy the outside and small town feel.”

“OMFG! LITERALLY the best little family run produce & bakery shop, I'VE EVER BEEN TO! TRY THE PIES, TRY THE POT PIES, TRY HE SANDWICHES, EAT EVERYTHING!! The owner and his son are so kind! I believe the owners wife was the lady inside the bakery, she was extremely helpful!! BY FAR THE MOST COMPASSIONATE FAMILY (besides my own, of course) I've met in a long time!!”

“Stopped for lunch a couple weeks ago. It was our first time dining at the Grateful Gypsy Bistro. I had the fresh pasta with bolognese, Hubby had a burger. We both were beyond impressed. My Bolognese was delicious! Best I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Imo- better than the one at Pasta Moon! Hubby’s burger was equally delicious… Food was amazing! Portions were plentiful. We will definitely be back!”

“Great place. First time there. Wife and I ordered: Bacon Cheese Burger and I ordered The Lockford ( sautéed onions and mushrooms) w/ Swiss cheese. Both meals came with large portions of fries- my wife asked hers to be extra crispy- and they were! Staff friendly and “Johnny on the spot”. Price was good. Stopping there each time we go to Lockford Sausage ( next door) or anytime going through town!!”

“Visiting Family and we have had their pizza twice now and it has been amazing both times. Gluten free crust is awesome, salad was beautiful and their house ranch is the best ranch I have had, and regular pizza was awesome loaded with toppings every time.”

“Between Jackson and Stockton on Highway 12/88 in Lockeford halfway between the two is the best place to stop and get a cup of coffee so Chelsea next time you're in the area coming up to visit and Jason wants a cup of coffee treat yourself and stop at Day-O espresso. It's better than that one that's on every street corner from Seattle I think and not as expensive.”

“I’m from Virginia, so I think I’m a good judge of bbq. And this bbq was easily some of the best I have had. The chicken was slow smoked so well, it was good with or without sauce. And the beans! There were remnants of a very meaty ham hock. And as much as I hate to admit it, the slaw was better than my mom’s. On the way out, we picked up pecan pie and peach cobbler. Both the bomb. If you drive through lockford, this place is a must.”
