It is hard to even call this place a dive bar because it was entirely too cool to be a dive, but it for sure gives the quirky, hidden gem vibes of a dive bar that WE love and always dream of stumbling across! Such a fun place to stop along the way to Tahoe or if you're in the area. Exceptional service, great prices, friendly atmosphere, music, gorgeous mountain views and did I mention Jello Shots?! So glad we could finally make the stop here and can't wait to stop in again.

Red Frog is a low-key, artsy restaurant frequented by locals, with a funky environment and a nice view. The menu is limited to pub food, but the cheeseburgers and fries are excellent. The inside seating is now open, but there is limited seating, so sitting at the bar is a good option. The service is friendly, and the cold beer is satisfying. It's a dive bar that delivers on good food and drinks, making it a great stop for a cold brew.
The restaurant is now the only bar in Colfax, and it's quite satisfying for a small place. It's a good choice if you're just wanting to grab a cold one on a hot day or even grab a bite to eat. The staff is always on point and friendly. The cheeseburger is very tasty, and the employees here like what they do, and it shows. There is plenty of room in the lot out front and available places at the bar and at tables inside and out to dine. The bathrooms are clean, and the decorations throughout the restaurant are cool.
