“First time at Dave’s Hot Chicken and was very pleased with the service. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly and patient cashier. She gave us quick overview of the menu and spice levels. When we took a seat we were offered sample of the slushy flavors. Super pleased with my first experience.“
“It’s great to have a halal food option in the inland empire! We were quite excited to try this place and the food did not disappoint. The hotdog was average at best, however the Michelin burger was amazing! Definitely one of the top 5 burgers we’ve had. Fries were also very good! The food came out really quickly which was a plus.The only thing I must mention that I found a bit strange is that the owner straight up refused to cut our 5 year old daughter’s burger in half for us. I have no idea as to the logic of this - did they not have a knife available or did they feel it messed with the integrity of their product? They took the burger back to the kitchen to cut it for us and the owner came back out with it saying ‘we don’t cut the burgers’ or something like that. No explanation given or being unable to fulfill a simple request for a child. Either way, I asked if they had a plastic knife so that I can cut it for her myself. He said no, that he only had a plastic fork and then brought me a plastic spoon instead lol. So I had to cut my daughter’s burger in half with a plastic spoon. It got really messy. But she enjoyed it nonetheless after a few tears. I guess I’ll start carrying my own knife from now on since this place refuses to cut their burgers in half for small children for whatever reason haha.But despite that small incident I have to give credit where it’s due- solid 7.5/10 burger option for the area. I only wish they had mustard or pickle relish or some type of spicy jam to add a little kick or tang to the burgers. The buns were also not the best quality and fell apart easily even just with the single patty- brioche would hold up much better. But overall we were still veryimpressed and will return as we often frequent the area and it is affordable and a great value meal compared to other halal places nearby.“
“We found this Indo-Pak restaurant in a Google search. We were glad that we tried the food here. The food they served had a homemade taste. We ordered Lamb Shank Pulao, whole chicken masala, chat samosa, puri, and naan. Everything was so delicious. Puri and naan were soft; I never tasted naan that soft anywhere else. Best food!!! The price was so reasonable. You cannot buy two samosas for $3 in any restaurant. The lamb shank pulao was only $17. The quality and taste are ultimate. The place was more welcoming, and the owner was so friendly. This restaurant is owned by him, his wife, and his younger son. Thanks again for the lovely food and hospitality“
“Friend took me here for the first time and expectations were exceeded. Mango lassi is delicious and refreshing. I got chicken tikka and lamb karahi with extra naans. “Najwas is a wonderful, comfortable spot to come through for some hearty, tasty food. The fact that it's a combo restaurant with Angelos just makes the menu so incredibly broad.While I'll agree with others and say that the Angelos Spaghetti may not be the highlight, the sandwiches from that 'side' of the restaurant tend to be simple and filling. I do miss the 'salad bar' of accoutrements that the 'old' Angelos used to provide.With that said, the highlight of this place is Najwa's Mediterranean dishes. While a bit pricier than most counter-order style spaces, many of the dishes are quite reasonable.This particular visit my family and I picked out a bunch of the appetizers and sides to share. The lentil soup is a particular favorite. I don't know what illegal substance they sprinkle on the fried crunchy croutons adorning the soup, but I could eat a bucket full, and they add a wonderful crunch to the smooth lentil soup.The fried cauliflower florets were also a total hit at our table. The edges crispy, but not too greasy, and seasoned well, these were devoured quickly.The roasted broccoli florets with feta and lemon were a bit less of a hit. I think were they roasted much longer, with singed edges and a 'sauce' of feta and lemon added, they'd be better. They were still good dipped in the provided tahini sauce, but we probably wouldn't get them again.The schwarma fries with vegetarian chicken alternative meat were also tasty, although expensive. When are 'smothered and covered' friend-anything NOT tasty, though.Finally, we got a 'triple dip sampler' of hummus, baba ghanoush, and mutabal. The hummus, as has been mentioned over and over is top tier. Absolutely delicious. I personally very much enjoyed the baba ghanoush. The mutabal was a new flavor for me, but it was a fun taste to experiment with.All in all, this spot is a great place to grab a relatively quick, affordable bite and I recommend a visit. I do wish there was a bit more provided in the serving sizes for the price, but I still highly recommend this spot.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian alternatives for nearly every meat option on the menu. I also feel that most of the meals are delicious even if you just leave the meat off the item.“

The gentleman, Fizaan, is the owner’s son and basically helps run the place for his fam and proudly helps cook some of the food during peak hours. The photos here show a Combo Plate option and a Sunday Lunch a-la-carte portion size. The subtle smoky taste of the Baingan Bharta, the rich flavors of the Chicken Karahi & Paneer Tikka Masala are absolutely delicious. I like the fact that these are not as oily or greasy as the other Desi restaurants we have tried. The a-la-carte dishes come alone, so if you want a side of rice, there are a couple rice options to choose from. Their garlic naan was soft, warm, and addicting with each dip into their flavorful sauces. Their Mango Lassi was sweet and refreshing! I liked the perfect balance of all the ingredients. Other versions I have tried at other restaurants were either too sour or too bland, which made me hesitant to try it - but I am glad I decided to try their version! If you’re not a fan of Mango Lassi but want a mango drink, they also offer Mango juice, which is just as yummy and refreshing.
