“Seems a bit like a little bodega converted to a counter order restaurant as far as ambiance. You get your own drinks from the cooler like at 7-11. Not a lot of seating, but the food was actually pretty good. Somewhat pricey but then again what isn't these days, and seemed authentic. The waitress was attentive and courteous, with a great smile. Luckily when I visited I was with two other women who spoke Spanish fluently and helped me with the menu.“

We used to go to Uruapan all the time but this place in my opinion has surpassed it. The food was good, the service was excellent. “A family member recommended this place. We ordered 3 fish tacos, and 3 shrimp tacos. I kid you not, these are some of the best dang fish/shrimp tacos I've ever had in my life! Perfectly fried, and so crispy on the outside. The salsas were great. Portions are generous. Prices are reasonable. The workers are friendly. I 100% recommend this to anyone craving some good food. “This place is pretty good . We had the fish taco meal for about $13 dollars . Came with rice and beans . Let me tell you the tacos were piping hot and fresh 10/10 . They will bring you lemons and peppers witch I have to also add the pepper was seasoned, now that was a game changer , I spilt it open took the seeds out and I lace it on my tacos 10/10 . We also shared 3 rolled tacos . It was also good but I will add pretty expensive but definitely worth every penny . We used the chips they gave us as nachos with the green sauce they have and leftover beans rice and other leftover veggies . All in all a perfect meal .. I complemented the chef cause if the food is perfect the chef should know . Oh and horchata taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk . 10/10 but no refill . Only juices are free refill . Next time“

I ordered the Monster Roll, and it was delicious. The service was great as well. We called ahead to reserve a table while we were on our way, and by the time we arrived about 15 minutes later, our table was ready.

“Okay, the tacos didn't travel well, primarily due to the shells getting too wet from each others' ingredients, but the fillings were just fine. Would happily eat them on-site, next time. Where this place gets its massive props from me? The ceviche (I had the spicy version), and the amazingly great clam chowder. I mean, I know that chowder is a popular item in Baja, but now I have no reason to travel and find out why. For all I know they opened a can of clam chowder and enhanced it with their own secret blend of herbs and spices, but who cares? It was fantastic.“

“Had a birthday dinner at the Oyster Cult. Its a fairly small restaurant, but the service and food was spot on! Along with the oysters that our group shared, I had a shrimp pasta dish that was delicious. Our party tried several different entrees and each looked and tasted great. When I go back the sea bass is definately a must have. At the end of the meal, the Key Lime pie was also a highlight, not too sweet and was to die for. Definately worth a visit!“

“My visit to Maiz Cafe was such a great experience. The staff was welcoming, checked in on us throughout our meal, and made us feel right at home. I tried a fresh made-to-order pineapple and watermelon agua fresca. It was refreshing and the sooo sweet. The surf and turf bowl was hearty, with tender steak and juicy shrimp. The asada omelette was stuffed with well-seasoned meat. We also had the chocolate chip pancake, which was super fluffy and a great side for my breakfast craving.

One of my favorite parts of the meal was trying the house-made salsas. The habanero definitely stole first place for me with its bold flavor and spicy kick. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, making it a spot where you can either enjoy a relaxed brunch or grab something quickly through the drive-thru.

Overall, Maiz Cafe is a great brunch place to recommend, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.“

When you first walk through the door, the environment is clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. I will be back. This restaurant hits all the bells and whistles for me. You have to see for yourself.“

“As soon as I learned they were open again, I beelined down from Devore to test Golden Dragon out. The place has a bit of an upgrade with the old carpet taken out and some of the window side tables looked newer. I guess it's a new owner and chef because the food was not quite the same, but still tasty. My go-to is hot and sour soup, and the new version was very good. The steamed rice was a little overcooked, but that wasn't a deal breaker in any way. Generally, it was a good dining experience and the lone staff person was attentive. The next time I come I'll get more into the menu. I think, because they are really just fledging out from start-up, the food can get better and better as they get their feet. The restaurant is worth a try, and probably worth a return visit.“

They give you rice and beans when you a order a combo plate which were very good quality as well. The rice was fresh, not dry and I usually don't like refried beans from other Mexican Food Spots cause they can't get the consistency or the taste right. The red sauce is mouth numbingly delicious, was burning my mouth but it tasted so great. This place knows their stuff. I will be back!“
