Taco Bell in Costa Mesa

“This Taco Bell is right on Colorado Blvd along the Rose Parade route, and overall I’d give this location about 4 stars. I’ve been here plenty of times and generally haven’t had any major problems.

They have indoor dining as well as a drive-thru, and they now have the self-service kiosks inside for ordering. The dining area is usually fine and relatively clean, and the bathrooms have generally been clean enough whenever I’ve needed to use them.

This location can get REALLY busy though. If there’s already a long line in the drive-thru, be prepared to wait because it can move pretty slowly during rushes. I’ve also had a few occasions where items were missing from my order, so I definitely recommend checking your bag before driving away. Whenever I’ve caught something missing, though, the employees have been pretty quick about correcting it.

Another thing to be aware of is that I’ve occasionally been approached by unhoused individuals around the property or seen people come inside asking customers for money. It hasn’t personally stopped me from coming here, but it’s something to keep in mind.

And since this is directly on the Rose Parade route, expect the entire area to be a completely different animal around New Year’s. 😂

Overall, it’s a perfectly decent Taco Bell. The food is generally consistent, the restaurant is reasonably clean, and most of my experiences have been good. Just check your bag before leaving!“
