Exactly what you want in a sushi restaurant. Favorite place in Nor-Cal.
This is my new favorite place to enjoy sushi. Everything is amazing. I love sitting on the back porch, drinking a beer and enjoying the vibe. I feel like I have been transported to an exciting vacation destination. The service is 5 stars and so is the food.

Shige Sushi is a small, cute, and homey restaurant that serves up amazing food. The lunch specials are wonderful, and the fish is fresh. The staff is friendly, although seating and remembering where customers are seated could be improved. The decor is cool, with non-dusty objects to look at, especially at the sushi bar. Japanese diners dining there is a good sign of great food. Despite tables being close together, the service is excellent and prompt. It can get busy, so making a reservation is recommended to avoid a wait.
The restaurant is run by actual Japanese people who know the correct flavors and qualities in Japanese food. It's not particularly fancy, and the servers are young people who may not know the nuances of sake or etc. However, the food is the best sushi in the area, at a better price and less pretentious. Customers can enjoy dishes like Takoyaki that are not commonly found on many menus.
The outdoor seating area is a lively and cozy space, with heat lamps for cooler nights. The menu features a wide variety of specials that change frequently, allowing customers to discover new dishes.
