“Exceeded our expectations and then some! The restaurant, itself, is warm, inviting and you can feel the love that went into it all. The moment I walked in I found myself smiling and taking in all that was there. The food… perfect! The meat was excellent and the fresh produce was exactly that, fresh and tasted amazing. The bacon was cooked perfectly… and the size of the patty is WAY bigger than you will ever get at any fast food dive. Some may think it’s pricey but it’s only about 2 dollars more than a meal combo at any of the fast food places, who’s burgers are small in size huge in processing and fat. The produce you’ll get from those places are old and the lettuce will not be nutritional. The meal here is far better for you, the amount of what you get is far FAR more than other places and for just a couple of bucks more… it’s a no brainer. You CAN eat something like a good old fashioned burger AND feel good knowing it’s better for ya than the fast food spots and tastes FABULOUS! The meat is certainly fresh! HIGHLY recommend. Oh and the ladies there are so nice and so sweet!”

The food was amazing—the giant meatball alone deserves a shout-out—and the kids were so entertained they didn’t even ask to play in the arcade (which NEVER happens). It was such a relief to find a spot that’s both kid-friendly and budget-friendly without sacrificing quality. No chaos, no meltdowns, just great service, good food, and happy vibes all around. “What a kick to discover a really great Chinese restaurant with a view of planes taking off and landing. Literally in the airport terminal on the second floor. Just passing through Redding but seemed like all our other dinner options were high priced steak houses and gastro pubs so this was a welcome surprise.”

“You want a real burger? This is the place to go. Burgers made the way you, the customer, wants it. Outstanding fries to compliment their tremendous burgers. In all the years I have eaten Bartel's, I have never had anything but the Giant burger and fries. That's how good they are, why stray from the path that makes you happy. You can find cheaper burgers; you'll be hard pressed to find better.”

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Best Mexican food around. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I’ve started making it a habit to stop here anytime I’m on 273. Usually get the birra ramen or the torta cubana, along with a few tacos. If you live in Redding or are just passing through and like Mexican food it’s a must to try.”
