Unfortunately for our little town, Wanda's closes this Sunday May 28th, 2023. Many will miss the unique and fun dishes that came out of the kitchen. I know I will miss the mussels and fennel sausage pizza but my husband will miss the burger and pastrami sandwich. We will also miss the morning pastries and beautiful bread, the Caesar salad, beef cheeks, poke bowl and waffles at brunch.
The atmosphere and food is very good. My main complaint is just that the prices are very expensive. There are a lot of these type of places in Oakland, but the prices are cheaper. I am not sure why a little sleepytown like Crockett pays so much for our food.

Any idea why they closed? 12 of us showed up for my wife's birthday that I had planned with them and it was closed on Sunday 5/28? I met with her the week before and everything was set for us to arrive and have appetizer and wine then dinner at 6 PM? They were inside, but would not answer the front door. Figured something went down? We ended up going down to the Bull Valley and they accommodated us. Ended up being a great night. I had lunch there a couple times prior and everything...read full review
