“Been meaning to check this place out for a while, and I finally got a chance this afternoon. I ordered the falafel plate. The food was made fresh to order. The falafel was crispy, and the hummus was perfect. He threw in some spicy eggplant, which was fantastic!

There’s a small seating area inside and some tables outside if you want to eat there. I did carryout.

“Louka provides a fine dining experience, with excellent Greek food and extraordinary service. The ambience is warm, comfortable and conversational. There is heated outside dining if you want to connect with the activity of Canon Drive. Inside the tables are spaced so you are not on top of other diners, the seating is very comfortable, and it is nicely decorated, with a white vaulted ceiling. We ordered five appetizers, then lamb chops and fish - all excellent. There is valet parking and also public parking a few steps away. The pricing is quite reasonable for the experience, which we plan to come back for.“

“Absolutely loved this place! We ordered the branzino, Cottage Cheese Pancakes, and the crab omelet — everything was truly outstanding. You can taste the quality and freshness in every bite.

And I have to highlight their cappuccino — incredibly smooth, not over-steamed, not boiled, just perfectly balanced. One sip and you fall in love instantly!

I honestly do not understand the negative reviews. Every time we visit, the staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the food never disappoints. I ordered the 12 inch lamb and beef gyro shawarma wrap and the fries it up with beef and it was so fresh, clean and delicious. highly recommend! The place was clean and tidy and food was ready promptly after I ordered! I would share a picture of the wrap but I ate it so fast I forgot. So gooood!“

“Been quite a regular to the place given it’s distance to me, and even got it multiple times for meals for bigger groups. I always did pre order by the app especially bigger orders did take time here given they prepped it fresh.

I love how their gyros were always tasty and the portion was generous. I typically went for either chicken or beef, and added extra ‘treats’ of falafel. The meat was always fresh and tender and even the sides like hummus was pleasant.

I have been knowing they do have soft serve but haven’t had a chance to try it until last week when I was craving for froyo and remembered they did sell it and was super close to reach. I then discovered that they recently launched Dubai chocolate topping, which was melted chocolate coating, with pistachio spread and kataifi pastries along with pistachio crumbs. Having it for first time, I was surprised by how gigantic it was. Gladly the greek yogurt wasn’t overly milky so it felt lighter and I’d say the toppings were generously served. This particular one was priced higher than both the plain and the one topped with honey and baklava. It was pretty delighting but I would recommend sharing or you likely wouldn’t finish it in one sitting.“

Healthy good wholesome Mediterranean food

We had a cashier server named Tiani. She was so kind to my wife and I, gave us sincere service with a smile and checked on us after we started the grub fest just because.

She also gave us recommendations and insight on the differences between the spices for the chicken

So I'll list favorites..feta fries..greek salad Chicken Shawarma..grilled chicken.. Gyro ..Chicken & Beef Kabob.. cakamari... rice .. seasoned fries..of course HUMMUS .garlic fries..a few paninis. Chicken & BEEF ANGUS KABOBS COMBO PLATES ..BAKLAVA for dessert sandwiches but I never tried there burgers“

“Dynamite Mediterranean spot located in a Lawndale area ghost kitchen. Everything that I tried here was fresh-tasting, well-seasoned and so delicious! Standouts for me were the kafta kabob and the gyro meat. I was very impressed with the authenticity of the flavors and the loving care put into the preparation and the presentation. And, the accompanying baba ganoush was very fresh and tasty. David, the chef and owner (along with his wife) is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to try some other items on the menu.“

“I remember growing up in the 80's eating at Astro Burger on the corner of Alvarado St and Village. That restaurant has been closed, but I am so glad the owner still keep this one open on Melrose. I stop just by with my family for dinner and the astro burgers taste just as good as they have always been. Love that original charbroil burgers with that marinated sliced lettuces. They keep that classic vibe and nostalgia atmosphere. Will always come back every once in a while when I feel like a kid again. 🙂“
