I saw this place on channel 7 and decided to give it a try it's okay not what they showed on ? Paid 30 bucks for A sandwich that had no meat I ate half going to give the other half to my dog, Perhaps eating there is promising but as you can see there was more paper than a sandwich also 3 sliced pickles the quarter size and two chilies Lol’!Parking: Parking is tight!

I've been dining here for many years and it's the atmosphere of this old school diner that keeps bringing me back. Don't get me wrong, the pastrami is excellent, the french fries are very good (sometimes excellent) and the coleslaw is tasty (these three menu items combined make up their "Johnny's Deluxe Pastrami Plate")Outdoor seating is great but I always prefer sitting in an old booth next to the window.

Bin coming here for over 25 years best pastrami in LA. My lunch was perfect. Now the service me and my girlfriend received here was a negative 100!. Absolutely horrible. Our waitress from what I was told her name is Maria, she's an older lady, skinny and reddish hair. After she took our order she completely ignored us. Never asked how our meal was nor did she ask if we wanted a refill on our drink. I had to ask one of the bus boys to refill our drink. The woman didn't even make eye contact with us. I don't know what her problem was with us. She was friendly and talkative with other customers except us. So need less to say there was a no tip. Very sad. Hope she gets that chip off her shoulders.

I finally tried the sandwich I've been thinking about, pastrami, my favorite among them all! Even though I've had tastier pastrami sandwiches in different styles, this old-school pastrami is delicious too! When I'm in LA, I'll definitely have it again!
