Used to be my favorite biriyani places in the bay over the last year. But they changed the Salan which is disappointing. It used to be so flavorful and unique with Nigella seeds and a hint of sweetness and spicy chili peppers. Now it’s just sesame based and bland. Also the meat masala to rice ratio has reduced. The size was always small for that price point but the taste made up for it. Sadly I can’t say that anymore. Not sure if the chef / management changed. Sad! Why can’t any of the Indian restaurants remain consistent in their taste?

I have never visited the place but it's one of my favorite places to order in Doordash because of the great street chowmein that they make. This time, I ordered street chowmein with egg along with chicken lollipop and fish 65. The latter 2 items were big disapppointments as the pictures themselves will probably show. The drumsticks were very small, extremely dry and on the verge of almost being burnt. The fish 65 is similarly dry and almost burnt. In addition, the portion sizes of those items were also small. Overall, not a good experience with the food from this place.

On 15-Feb, I have placed a pickup order for 'Avachi Special Chicken Dum Biryani'. As per the name, it was so special and so fun, I literally enjoyed the time doing a treasure hunt for the boneless chicken pieces in the huge tub of rice without any masalas.Utterly disappointing!!! All I had was plain Basmati Rice, a Boiled egg and a very small portion of chicken with scarcely coated masalas.I am not stepping into this restaurant for a very long time in the future.

I and my husband had veg and non veg thalli’s today, their taste took me back to India. I find that many restaurants make their food little bland and that’s a big bummer for me. But the food here is spicy and yummy, will definitely go back. The service here is great, they were friendly and accommodating. Ambiance is good as well, it’s big and spacious.

I’m so disappointed.. ordered biryani at noon around 2pm and I feel leftover just ordinary rice with some 2-3 mutton pieces no taste. I used to always like the biryani …but it seems even low par now my kid too disappointed…mark it…or maybe late order at 2pm you get leftover..but we pay the same price Avachi ??

Food was really tasty. One of the best punugulus I've eaten in the bay area. We really liked all the items (vegetarian) we ordered and everything was tasting as it should be according to their cuisine. For example, kothu parotta had proper tamilnadu taste and baby corn manchurian had proper indo chinese taste. Mirchi ka salan was a disappointment. It had a raw turmeric taste and was sweet. Raita was also not very tasty and could be improved. Food quantity was also good. The restaurant was spacious and staff was friendly.Parking: It's in a complex with other stores so parking is mostly full but you can get one if you wait some time.
