This is more of a to-go place than a nice restaurant to eat at. But their food is high quality!! It's my go-to spot for salchipapas, they've got the best ones I've ever had. And their empanadas and alfajores are excellent as well!!!

BEST ALFAJORES HANDS DOWN! Rosi's Dulce de leche ALFAJORES are delectable, not too sweet, moist shortbread cookies with a dulce de leche filling dusted lightly with powdered sugar. It is always a party favorite! I'm so glad Rosi opened a bakery with even more delicious treats to try.

Came to try the famed alfajores and they did not disappoint. The minis are now 10 for $7. The cookies were amazing! The shortbread was buttery and soft, the dulce de leche was smooth, and the dusting of powdered sugar was just enough to emphasize the all the flavors of this sweet treat. It was a good move by me to buy just two boxes for my team because that meant that I had to limit my intake to ensure everyone had at least 1 also! I would definitely welcome a return trip to check out some of the pastries offered. Also, yes, the setup is a little odd, sharing the space with a laundromat but it shouldn't deter a visit.

This place has absolutely amazing stuff. The chef has an expanded menu on Saturdays. Pretty much every meal they make is to die for, but aji de gallina is my favorite, lomo saltado, chaufa and ceviche come close second. And obviously alfajores are fantastic, otherwise they wouldn't be selling them all over the Bay Area. A place to go if you like good food, and not just Peruvian.

We are so glad that we accidentally found this hidden gem! Our favorite day to come is Saturday when the kitchen is open so the bf can get their lomo saltado ($17). With fries, tomatoes, beef, onions and rice, this meal is sure to fill you up. My favorite thing to order here are the empanadas which are served everyday they're open. The empanadas are flavorful and stuffed! Be sure to get some of their hot sauce which gives your food a creamy spice. Before you go, you must order some of their alfrajores (Peruvian cookies). They're not too sugary and melt in your mouth. They're available by singles ($2 each) or minis that are packaged ($7). The minis will melt in your mouth but I prefer the singles that have a little more density. WHAT TO KNOW: *Cash or Zelle ONLY! *Street parking *There are a few seats on the sidewalk where you can sit and enjoy your meal

I discovered this little Peruvian food spot while I'm in the DC area (and walking the family dog). It's about a 15 minute walk from where I'm currently staying at (not bad for the dog!). Today was my _th time to get the Peruvian cookies (alfajores) because, yes I got hooked ever since I had it a few weeks ago. The owner (Asian guy- not sure if he's the owner but) he gives me a dollar discount whenever I buy 3 boxes of alfajores, sums up to $20 instead of $21 (or maybe he just doesn't want to bother in providing the change), knows me now as a frequent customer. I bought 5 boxes of alfajores today that totalled to $35 ($7 each). I gave the lady $40. As I was walking out and putting the change in my wallet, I realized she gave me $15 back! So I quickly went back and told her she only owes me $5! She was very thankful I returned the excess change. I guess the box was $5 before? Lol If you haven't tried their cookies, I suggest try it sooner! They have other flavors (I tried the coconut one, it was good as well), but I'm addictted to the dulce de leche as it reminds me of the cookies I usually get from Porto's when I'm in LA. The cookies from Rosi's almost melt in your mouth! I am determined to try their empanadas soon! They also serve Peruvian dishes on weekends! I hope you'll try this spot and support local businesses! Parking can be a challenge (it is a neighborhood spot) but it should be easy between 10am-4pm- you can also try to park along Mission (but not too far from Westlake Ave where the store is!) Oh, I noticed during one of my walks, they're not open on Monday's. Don't quote me on that, I'm not 100% sure! They don't accept cards-- cash, Venmo, Zelle only.

Food: what a hidden gem. I pass by it all the time. So just decided to stop in on a whim. Tried the beef and chicken empanadas. Sooo good. Pastries soft and airy. The alfajores.... I died and gone to heaven. Great for tea or black coffee pairing. Will definitely be back! Cash, vimeo and zelle only.

Good empanadas. The beef and the mushroom empanadas were really good. Didn't care much for the one with cheese. They were friendly, too. Will be back to try the chicken next time.
