All three of us ordered the calamari steak dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus and it did not disappoint!! I've been dining at Harpoon Henry's since the early 90's and can't find calamari steak to compare anywhere else! It's amazing and always cooked perfectly! Plus, we were seated immediately upon arriving at our reservation time, had a very sweet server and an awesome sunset view from our booth overlooking the Marina! Life is good?

It was lovely sitting in a booth overlooking the harbor, enjoying the seal swimming nearby. Our meals were fresh, hot, and tasty. The warm brownie with ice cream and whipped cream was the perfect finish!

I'm so sorry I don't remember our server's name but he was AWESOME!! The food was fantastic! Their homemade 1000 Island dressing is to die for and the Mud Pie is the OG BEST!! And, of course, the sunset view is breathtaking! I can't wait to return ??

Food was good, as always. We had a large party and asked for three checks. Our server, Bella did a terrific job of keeping everything straight and serving us in an efficient and energetic manner.

We had a wonderful beautiful seat by the window to watch the sun slowly sink into the blue water. It was amazing and so was the food. Mahi-Mahi with mango sauce, Swordfish and fresh veggies. Garlic bread was hot and toasty good. Service was not great. She didn't know much about the food, different person brought food out which was great and hot. She finally came back with bill but never asked how our dishes were (amazing) or if we needed anything (dessert and refills would have been great). We can't wait to go back and highly recommend, just bring ur patience and understanding for training staff

I had both lunch and dinner here. My guests really liked the vibe of the restaurant—a back-in-time experience with terrific food and really pleasant service. The salmon on a plank was delicious and plentiful. My guest's steak was also perfectly prepared. I will definitely return on my next visit to Dana Point!

Our favorite restaurants. We chose to have an early NYE dinner and everything was perfect. Out window table gave us excellent views of the boats in the marina. Our fish was prepared perfectly and excellent.

For the past 12 years we arrive for our 4:15 PM reservation for two (Open Table) and once again we're fortunate to get a window table to see the last sunset of the year. My wife had the pear salad with salmon as her entree and I tested the fates by wearing a white turtleneck and ordering cioppino (success; no splatters)! Price was slightly above reasonable, two pieces of garlic toast provided (but had to order extra sourdough for $8 to augment), and we eschewed the Heineken 0% Alcohol beer (the worst of all the non alcoholic beers). However, the friendly staff, beautiful view, ease of parking means we'll see you next year! Hopefully the Mens bathroom will be cleaner with some soap and hot water by then.

Fish and chips were scrumptious but very greasy. The seafood special was delectable. Took a long time to be greeted at our table but once we were, everything was great! They gave my husband an unexpected birthday dessert on the house. That was very kind. We are here in December so the walk around the harbor and the fun Christmas lights made it a special night.

Five of us dined inside between Christmas and the New Year. Service was good, beverages (Mai Tai, wine, tea, etc.) were excellent but the food a bit disappointing: shrimp cocktail and calamari appetizers were fine but the Fish & Chips were slightly soggy rather than crispy (as though the frying oil was not hot enough)...the seafood portions in the Cioppino really modest for $ 40 and the flavor in the tuna stack (with crab cake) was really subtle...To finish on a positive note: the ambiance of the restaurant, the view and the holiday decorations around the Marina were beautiful and I would return sometime when their A-Team is likely back in the kitchen.

Our main courses took an unusually long time to arrive, and when they did, my wife's entree was too cold to eat. Manager came to table and apologized for kitchen mix-up, comped our two glasses of wine. That was appreciated, but didn't really make up for our disappointing experience.

Great spot for Christmas Day dinner. The food was very good, and it was nice to be able to order off a menu and not be stuck with a prix fixed menu. Wait staff were all friendly. Would definitely come back next year on Christmas Day too. Gave 4 stars for ambience because the decor is a bit dated and could use a face lift but otherwise everything was delicious and wonderful.

We decided to have Xmas Eve dinner here so that a post dinner walk at the Harbor Lights was super easy. We were seated immediately (had a reservation). Had to wait a bit for wait staff to take our drink and food order, but not terrible (considering it was Xmas Eve). Food and drinks arrived promptly and the food was good. This place is not my first choice for seafood, but served us well for a special evening.

The restaurant was a great choice for food and service! Each of my family members was happy, and that's not an easy task. Only drawback- the guy singing in the bar area. Gave me Jon Lovitz in the Wedding Singer vibes. That didn't make for great ambiance. But barring the live entertainment- highly recommend!
