The menu features a variety of options, including the popular grilled fish taco, tuna taco, Al Pastor burrito, and the well-loved Oceanside Burrito. Lupe's also offers excellent Tamarindo and Blackberry Margaritas. With generous fillings and quality ingredients, Lupe's is a great choice for dining in or taking out.
The restaurant and adjacent cantina, Sidebar, are local favorites in Dana Hills, Dana Point. Lupe's has been a solid go-to for about three years, and it shows. The ceviche bowl is fresh and packed with flavor, and the carne asada burrito is excellent. Customers can also enjoy perfectly mixed Cadillac margaritas at the Sidebar, which has a chill, upscale vibe and an impressive tequila lineup.
The atmosphere can be lively and a bit loud, but the staff at Lupe's are generally kind, with a shoutout to the manager, Victor, who is welcoming and takes pride in the place. Customers appreciate the helpful and friendly service from the newer front register staff member, David, who provides great service and energy. Despite some occasional mix-ups with orders, the food remains a highlight, with many finding it quite good. While parking can be limited and small, Lupe's continues to be a popular choice for a meal, even if some consider it a bit pricey.
