We heard so many good things about Stacks, we had to try it. We got the Meat Lovers Omlette, kids Fruity Pebble Waffle, and the Cookies &Cream Waffle. The portion size was disappointing, but the food was good.
I don’t normally love breakfast places, but this restaurant served incredible food. My spicy chicken waffle was extremely flavorful, and the waffle was perfectly cooked. Note that it was not very spicy, but the good flavors made me forget that. Other people in my party had the pancakes and normal katsu and waffles. Everyone agreed the food was delicious. We even had to go back a second time on our short vacation! We will definitely come back next time we are in town.
Genuinely the best brunch in the area for miles. Brunch is some of my favorite food, and I've tried all the heavy hitters around Northern San Diego and Lower Orange County, but Stacks can't be beat.
Just get the spicy chicken & waffles. Do it. It's insane. (Don't worry if you don't like spicy food, it's not death spicy just a nice added heat)
