Beautiful winery! Fun place to drink wine and relax with friends. The Graduate is a favorite of mine!

Great Bear Vineyards is a charming vineyard close to Sacramento that gives off Napa vibes. The location is gorgeous, and the Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Duet, and Cab wines are all delicious. You can bring your own food to pair with the wines, or enjoy their cheese platter. The cheese quality may vary, but the overall experience is wonderful. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and terrific, offering informative tastings about their different varietals. The vineyard has a romantic feel and is perfect for private events or weddings, with live music adding to the ambiance. The tasting room is well decorated, spacious, and cozy, making it a perfect escape from the summer heat. The wines exceed expectations, sourced from both the Davis area and nearby regions. This family-owned winery also features a lavender field and beautiful property with airbnbs. Visits are by appointment only, so it's recommended to call ahead for short notice visits. A visit to Great Bear Vineyards promises a lovely weekend afternoon experience, making Davis a better place to be.
