The food is excellent. The cooks are the best Thai cooks in the area.
It's chill, 3.5 stars. Might come back if I wanted Thai food in Davis w my family. Love the service and hope they succeed. Food is a tad salty for my taste.
The mango salad was great, but the noodles in the noodle dish we got seemed like instant noodles. Curry had a very generic, maybe packaged taste, and to eat the leftovers the next day I had to add a lot of steamed veggies for it to not be too salty.

Paste Thai is a highly-recommended Thai restaurant in Davis. Known for its flavorful curries, noodles, and spicy dishes, the restaurant offers a wide range of options for all tastes. The ambiance is modern casual, providing a comfortable and quiet environment with good service. Customers often enjoy the Tom Kha soup, which is delicious, especially without meat to enhance its flavor. Shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce are also very good, and the seafood pad se_ew is a popular choice with a large portion. While the food is generally excellent, prices can be on the higher side, with a Thai iced tea costing around $5.99 and meals often reaching $40 for lunch. Some dishes, like pad Thai, may not meet everyone's expectations, being a bit too sweet and with noodles that can be hard. Overall, Paste Thai offers quality food and a pleasant atmosphere, making it worth visiting despite the slightly higher prices.
