I've been here 3 times and have tried different meals each time. The food is not bad, but it lacks that wholesome feeling when eating a great Mexican meal.I can't find a justification for the quality of the food for the price. The rice and beans have been very inconsistent. One time there was a lot of - what tasted like- cumin, in the rice. You have to measure your ingredients and keep that recipe. Also, the beans have been very salty or not enough from time to time. Again, no consistency.I love the ambiance and environment, because it's fresh and clean. The interior design really makes it feel bright and upbeat. Compared to a dark bar for games, I would prefer coming here. The servers have all been amazing. Very attentive and friendly.I'm hoping this review catches the eye of the cooks/owner/management and there can be some consistency to the food preparation and cooking. I would love to come back with my family, because it's a local business!

El Canton De La Patrona took over the old Fish Grill location and is in the same plaza as El Pollo Loco. My husband and I decided to try this local restaurant. We made an order over the phone for pick up. We ordered: La Patrona Ceviche, $16.95 prior to tax- The ceviche was fresh and refreshing. This order also came with 3 tostadas. The ceviche is made with shrimp, cucumbers, avocados, red onions and tomatoes. I wished I had a few more tostadas. Burrito, $15.95 prior to tax- My husband got the asada burrito, which was packed with rice, beans and lettuce. Cheese and guacamole are also in the burrito. A side of chips are served along side the burrito. This entree was very filling, which my husband ate over 2 meals. 3 item combo, Trio Perfecto, $16.95 prior to tax- For this meal combo, I picked sopes, tamale and soft taco. This meal was also served with a side of rice and beans. My mom enjoyed the tamale and soft taco. We both also enjoyed the rice and beans and I liked the sopes. The 3 item combo is a good portion for one, although a fair amount for 2 to share (for a small dinner). ----------------------------- (Total= $54.96 after tax) Please note that there is a small discount if paying with cash. Service was friendly at pick up. Also it was nice that our food was ready at the time promised when we came to pick it up. My family and I enjoyed El Canton De La Patrona and will most likely order from them again.

Very good food, the carnitas are marinated before they are fried up, making them moist and tasty. The sides are all very well done, the beans are homemade, and the salsas are fresh and tasty. The spicy salsa was habenero based and well balanced. It was spicy but not overpowering. The flan was very good! The location is nice, clean and pleasant. The wait staff is very helpful and nice. I will be back again for sure!

First time here, and most definitely coming back! Very nice restaurant with nice spanish music in the background. The food most of all DELICIOUSIO!!! I ordered the Potato taquitos combination, my hubby ordered the Carnitas. Im very picky with the rice and beans, and have to say I absolutely love both! Reminded me of my moms rice and beans and that says a lot! Highly recommend it. Oh! And if your looking for good mole sauce, this place has it. I tried a sample of it, really delicious!!

As always we love the food at this local restaurant. This was our 4th time visiting and 1st time having brunch. We were pleasantly surprised at all the food options, salads, menudo, pozole, enchiladas oh my! We were also happy they had the pancakes and chilaquiles made to order included in the brunch menu, they came out hot and fresh from the kitchen when we were ready to have them. The chilaquiles were so good as was all the food we tried. The desserts we had were just as delicious! Fried bananas with a drizzle of caramel sauce, strawberries and marshmallows ready to be dipped, churros and my favorite rice pudding! We can't wait to go back! The only thing was we ate way too much and didn't eat the rest of the day! Be prepared to be stuffed! The server was very sweet! I think she was one of the owner's. It was pretty packed inside so we were able to get a table outside, we didn't mind since it was a nice day. Definitely recommend!

I live less than five minutes from this place so it's an easy place to pick when we don't have plans. But that's not why we choose this place over the 5 other Mexican places close by. The food is better. The sauces are a little better and the quality of the meat is better as well. A lot of Mexican places rely on volume of food to attract customers. This place gives you a lot of food but it also tastes better. Their cochinita pibil was tender thru and thru and the sauce was well seasoned and balanced. The service is always on point. The restaurant is almost always half empty, so the servers are always available. You're probably thinking "if the food is better, why is it always half empty?" They only have beer and wine. They do have "cocktails" but it's not with liquor. That's the main downside to this place, for me. But if that's not a priority for you, this place might be a good option.

Food was good, a little on the pricey side. They charge for pico de gallo (4.00 each) and they also charged my wife for sparkling watch when she asked for soda water with limes. So just be careful what you order.
