“Love the food!“
“We just used them for our wedding and they were so impressive. Highly recommend! They worked with the event coordinator, set up early, and served 100 guests like pros. We decided to get 2 bartenders and I'm glad we did because we didn't want a line to build up. The price is phenomenal and the bartenders were a ton of fun!“
“This company has been so responsive since the very first time I emailed them to request a quote! I cannot tell you what peace of mind that gave me and planning my husband’s birthday party. They are so amazing! Benito arrived early and had the food ready at five minutes before the start time for dinner. He was amazing! He was friendly and greeted all the guests. At the end of the evening he carefully packed up all of the food that was left and brought it inside. All of my guests were super impressed with the food! (The Pastor and Carnitas were my personal favorites). All of the food was excellent and the ingredients tasted fresh. The meat they had was seriously the best meat that I’ve had from a taco stand in a long time. I went with the traditional five meats, and paid extra and got Carnitas and jumbo lime shrimp. The price was great and the quality was even better! I will definitely be using them again anytime I need a catering. This was for my husband‘s birthday party and we had about 45 guests and I had tons of food left over and everybody ate a lot at the party.“
“I don't even know where to start. Our biggest reservation with having a wedding was initially thinking about how much we'd have to spend upfront. Wedgewood made it simple by breaking it up into payments leading up to the wedding day. Thankfully, we got a headstart and planned 18 months ahead. So the payment plan per se, was much more doable once it was laid out!
From our initial conversation with the venue to the final days leading up to the wedding, Rio Hondo made it so easy for us. The planning was essentially laid out step by step and easy to navigate through the online portal! The reminders were within reason, the checklist was helpful, and the admin staff were accomodating.
We decided to get the third tiered package with the venue. The package came with a day-of wedding coordinator, buffet styled dinner, a DJ and MC, a photobooth, top-shelf and open bar, a floral centerpiece for each of our tables, and a few other things including a smooth planning schedule.
Rio Hondo - thank you for making our wedding experience such a breeze! Laura and I both had so much fun. We really didn't feel like we stressed about anything.
Tamica was our day-of coordinator, Nestor was our banquet captain, and Dustin was our DJ and MC. Tamica, thank you for being so present and attentive to our needs. From bringing us water to helping us fix our appearances as the day went on, and everything else in between. It was a fun experience sharing our plans with you. Thank you for helping us bring them to life! Nestor, you and your kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food and appetizers. We had so many compliments on the food. Many of our guests were happily surprised and satisfied. I keep thinking about the mac and cheese croquettes, the chicken with sherry cream, and the salmon. YUM! Dustin, you rock so much. Laura and I were type-A personalities when it came to the song selections, our grand entrance, the surprises, and the Labubu tosses. Thank you for working with us to make it happen!!
The entire staff at Rio Hondo showed up and showed out for us. Thank you all for making our special day (surprise and actually our 2-year wedding anniversary) so much fun, easy going, and truly unforgettable! For anyone hesitating, JUST DO IT! You won't regret it 🥰“

Message on the card was exactly as requested and the hand writing was very nice. The flowers looked even more gorgeous in person. “It was my first time having tacos at a family party. My family could not stop talking about the food . These are the best tacos ever!!!!! They are so friendly and felt like family . “I celebrated my 60th birthday few weeks ago and I can’t recommended it enough. Great location, beautiful inside, outside area is very clean, plenty of parking and very private. The food was great and believe me you will not be disappointed. The staff was very nice and easy to work with in particular the two ladies that worked with me and help me to put together my party in a short period of time, Roberta and Sandra….Roberta in particular has a good sense when it comes to ideas to decorate… you just need to tell her what theme you want for your party and she make sure that everything goes accordingly to your taste. She listened and within your ideas and her inputs I can guarantee you that everything will come out BEAUTIFUL. My theme was “Havana Night “ and everything came out better than I expected…So if you look for a place to have fun and created memories that will last forever, I would highly recommended this place !!“

“Solid sandwiches and Dutch crutch bread! Great meat to bread ratio, and plenty of fresh veggies! Ordered online was ready ahead of time and was only about $20 for sando (could feed 2), little bag of voodoo chips, and a can of Coke!! Crazy good... Delicious, good value, friendly staff, easy parking! They also have house made salsas, chips, pickled veggies, etc. ready to-go! We will definitely be back and might try their other location in Costa Mesa.“

“First time here and all the food is pretty packaged. I was not expecting that but it was good, overall.
I was beyond pleased with the staff! They were beyond friendly and very helpful! Explained how it works and they warmed up the food for us since we ate there.
Not planning on eating there? Not a problem. Warm it up at home when you're ready to eat.
Food overall is good. Flavors are good, maybe closer to ok but they are satisfied enough.“

“I grew up in the area and I've lived nearby for the last 5 years but somehow I have never made it over to try Peter's El Loco until last night.
I ordered their cheeseburger combo, my husband ordered their Loco cheeseburger combo (basically a larger cheeseburger on a torta type roll instead of a regular bun), and we got a couple hard shell tacos.
The burger was good, maybe not the best I've had in the area but good. I definitely want to give them another try again, possibly eat there because I think the travel time may have impacted the quality. I loved their french fries and they have really good ranch.
The hard shell tacos were awesome. Highly recommend giving those a try and I will definitely be back for one of those again.“

“Recently my nephew got married and on his reception taken place on universal city Hilton hotel and we found Mazze banquet from Pasadena for catering. The food was excellent the service was excellent everything was on time. We had 250 guests and everything went smoothly. Food quality was 10 out of 10. Service was 10 out of 10. So happy so happy. Definitely recommend.“
“I had the Al Pastor Burrito when the truck was parked outside for lunch. They park the truck outside, on Beverly Blvd and have seating area inside a building. The burrito was good and the salsas were good as well. I was happy with the burrito and felt full after eating it. It was a similar burrito from other truck locations. There wasn't anything special about it, but again it was good.“

Any comments saying otherwise, are made by people who can't figure out how to use a smartphone and comment on the individual vender truck on their social media. Otherwise, all food trucks are great being that ive tried food from quite a few as a customer before i began workinc at a truck that parks here when NOT IN SERVICE. GO LAS OLAS!“
