bolillos 2/$1 always freshly made and delicious! finally tried their menudo and its the best locally, no wonder they always sell out. and they hook it up in a 32oz with bolillo or tortillas.
The perfect bolillo bread doesn't exist. It does at this bakery. At a price point of $0.50 each, they are affordable and the perfect compliment to any Mexican dish. This bakery has mastered the perfect bolillo that has the perfect crunchy texture combined with the softest center. It's great for toast, tortas, sandwiches, or added as a side for birria, pozole, menudo, caldos, etc. They also sell sweet bread that also is amazing. Bomb tortas! The Milanesa is my favorite. The carne asada is good too, I prefer it with beans. The cheese tamales are ok. They have bottled Mexican Coke and Sprite, champurado and hot coffee every morning. Always have fresh sweet breads. The cuerno with sesame seeds is my favorite. It's a tiny whole in the wall, but the service is great. It's the perfect breakfast/brunch spot especially on those chilly mornings.
