I've been here a couple times now. The food and drinks are amazing. A roll will not leave you hungry here as may happen at some other places. The Dante's Inferno roll is my fav; the tempura jalapeño slices set it apart. The restaurant can get a bit loud on a busy night. The service can be slow, but the staff are always nice.

The ambiance was lovely, and the rolls were well presented and tasty. However, the yellowtail didn't quite match Mikuni's pepperfin plate in flavor. Still, the presentation was impressive, especially with the rolls served on wooden planks instead of ceramic plates.

Delicious rolls and drinks! The rolls are big too! The ambiance and music never disappoint. The lychee martini and Dante's Inferno roll are a must!

Check out the description in the photos I listed. This place has a great downtown vibe with a much larger footprint. My favorites were definitely the Ankimo, monkfish liver. It was so creamy, The Gekkikan Horin black & gold saki was so smooth and a perfect Saki to end our dinner with. The only reason I docked a star was due to the server. She did not seem very knowledgeable of the menu, but she did go to the bar to ask about the different Sakai's for us and was very honest about not trying a lot of the menu yet.

Tried this place for the first time with some girl friends and we all had a great experience! We went right when they opened and the place filled up fast so I would recommend making reservations. The spicy edamame is a must! All of our sushi rolls were delicious and our cocktails were great. From waiting in the lounge to eating at our table the service was great & everything was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to any sushi lover.

*Food: 5/5 presentable and tasty. *Service: 5/5 Food came out quickly and friendly server *Ambiance 5/5: Modern decor, spacious and clean. Came here with family to try this new hype in Elk Grove and it didn't disappoint. The ambiance is nice for a date night out or even big gatherings, with alittle loud music and has huge screen TVs to watch sports. You really can't go wrong in trying any dish here. The sashimi and sushi is fresh, well prepared and presentation is beautiful. We love the wide selections of premium liquor and sake choices. We had so much fun and we will be back to try it again.

I have been here 3 times now in last 6 months and all times it has held up well. Good customer service, great atmosphere and good food. Has a big waiting lobby area. My last time around I got on the yelp wait list but I found out that the girl working the front desk didn't even enter people from yelp list on their list. The sushi menu they two the simple rolls and special rolls but they must have just change their special roll menu which is much smaller now. Drinks are good and they have a nice bar. last time they had a Dj on Saturday night.

It was ok. The ambiance is beautiful and the bar is well lit. We were greeted by a friendly host and walked to our table. However, the table hadn't been cleaned and was sticky. Service was slow and took a while to take our order. The glass that my drink came in was soooo sticky. Food came out in good time. I will say the rolls are massive but in my experience it was more so quantity not quality. Lots of rice and lacking flavor. Maybe try happy hour.

Been here a few times. The experience has + and - and has been like this each time we have dined here. Ambiance is a + and it's nice to have more places in EG that can feel like a nice night out without having to go Downtown. And it's good to see people out supporting local businesses. The dining area, however, is missing some texturing without lights over the booths or any acoustic blockers overhead so while the decor is nice, it's lacking privacy and it gets quite loud. Hard to hear ourselves talk. Food is ok, some dishes good, some nothing special. Dante's Inferno and fried oysters are good. The fried jalapeños on Dante's Inferno really make the dish. Other rolls and appetizers are just ok. Service is very lacking. They are understaffed, inexperienced, and not attentive. Waited forever before someone came to take our order, drinks came after food came, and they made the wrong drink on one of our orders. They only had one bar tender. Whiskey smash was really good, refreshing. Lychee margarita needed to be mashed more, the fruit chunks were too big and disruptive to drink. And we ordered a bottle of wine but they never brought us glasses, we had to flag down a busser to ask. Aside from that poor service level, the biggest complaint is the price point. Drinks and rolls are considerably higher than other places. Our bill came out to about $100 per person. I don't mind if the service and execution was flawless, but it never is. Seems to be a mistake or something lacking every time we come here. And if you come with a group of six or more, gratuity is automatically added, which is irritating. We didn't make a stink about it because we were trying to have a good time. But in retrospect, I think we should have asked them to take the mistaken drink off, cancel the wine, and take off the mandatory tip. And every friend we talk to have similar experiences. I really wanted to like this place, but I am not going to be in a hurry to come back for a while unless things improve.

The food, service, and ambiance was amazing. I celebrated my 40th there with close friends and family and we're all definitely going back.

Reservations do not matter here. Just be aware. The food is good, service is decent. I would recommend coming on a day that is not Friday or Saturday if you want to enjoy your experience.
