Xtreme Bitez | Halal is a hidden gem in Elk Grove offering excellent food, large portions, and very reasonable prices. The menu options make it easy for groups with different preferences to all enjoy a hot, delicious, halal, very filling meal. Food quality is very good, with cumin infused rice and super juicy, flavorful meat that has an extra umami not found elsewhere. They do not skimp on the white sauce or hot sauce. Specific meals praised include the lamb gyro, chicken over rice plate, mix plate with lamb and chicken over rice, the Xtreme burger with a nice little spicy kick, and the Philly cheesesteak. The curly fries are fire, the French fries are nice and crispy, and the chicken nuggets are better than other options. The baklava is also delicious. Service is consistent and friendly, with a quiet atmosphere and no obnoxious music. A super big bonus is the use of high quality handslaughtered halal meats. This place is not just an average halal cart style restaurant and is a better choice than going to Jack In The Box.
