The mole is bland and the portion is small for a $21 dinner plate (at least for takeout). The green rice was not fully cooked also.

Went for the weekend buffet and was not disappointed. So many flavorfully options. The habanero mole was my favorite. So tasty and delectable. Will definitely be back just based on that dish alone.

If this was my neighborhood restaurant I'd eat here every week, probably more than once.
Great hangout, great food, warm and joyful service. The crispy tacos are in their own league. Start there.

A fly landed on my food all they offered was 7.00 off my bill
Los Moles in Emeryville is easily one of the best dining experiences in the Bay Area. I have been coming here for years, and every visit reminds me why I love it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is consistently friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are second to none.
The regular menu is outstanding, with tender meats, handmade tortillas, and traditional dishes that always impress. The moles are the heart of the restaurant, each one rich, layered, and unique. Mole poblano balances spice and sweetness, mole negro is smoky and deep, and mole verde is fresh and vibrant. Every bite carries history and tradition, and you can taste the care in every recipe.
The weekend buffet is a highlight, offering a chance to sample multiple moles side by side along with pozole, menudo, meats, salads, rice, beans, and desserts. It feels more like a celebration of Mexican cuisine than just a meal. Add in café de olla at the end and it is an experience worth savoring.
The drinks are strong and flavorful, from crisp margaritas to creative mezcal and tequila cocktails that pair perfectly with the food. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, Los Moles delivers every time.
This is more than a restaurant, it is a celebration of Mexican culture, flavor, and community. Los Moles never disappoints, and it remains one of my favorite places to eat in the Bay Area.

The people who work here are lovely and kind--great service. However, the buffet was rough--quality of food was not amazing--3 out of 6 people left with stomach aches and 2 puked right after. Not sure if food poisoning or just too rich/greasy food, but that's not a good ratio. A few of the moles have ok flavor, and a few had very little flavor, and felt very oily. If it felt expensive for the quality of food--paid $44 for the buffet and a diet coke (to help me digest). Maybe the food off the menu is better, though.

We were going home from San Fran and stopped in Emeryville to catch the train. My wife saw this spot with all you can eat tacos! They have four choices: beef, chicken pastor, veggie, and pork belly. They also had pinto beans (just ok and probably a filler), salsa bar, grilled onions and pepper bar, and spiced Pina and cucumber. The tacos were great though. Fresh tortillas and salsa was perfect. AYCE coincided with happy hour so we got some chips and salsa for 2 bucks and my wife got a decent margarita. AYCE for 15 bucks was not bad at all. Service was great. I'd definitely stop by again.especially on AYCE Tuesday!

I've never seen such a perfectly wide selection of moles! It is one of the best, if not the best, Mexican restaurants in the east bay—a must try!

Seriously tasty and packed with flavor! They had so many mole flavors to try and I can't wait to go back and try them all! I had the mole verde over a shrimp enchilada and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried their chips and guac, which was solid. Their tortilla chips are delicious and crisp and flavorful. Service was super friendly and prices were just right. This will definitely become a neighborhood staple for me.
