We've done takeout twice. First time it was OK nothing special.Second time we did the teriyaki bowls. But they forgot the teriyaki so it was just chicken, rice and some greens. Not sure if they are rushed but it sure feels like it.

Generally reluctant to get Asian food outside of Kearny Mesa but I was pleasantly surprised! Ordered the stone pot with beef and a side of kimchi. The bowl was well balanced with all the veggies and having the option to additionally season your bowl is nice. I will say that it does come with an absolute minimal serving of protein (maybe 2 or 3 oz total) in the bowl and $4 for a tiny side of kimchi is a bit outrageous (total serving size pictured), but can't deny that it was delicious. I'd prefer to go to Kearny but if I was around the area and craving bibimbap, it's a decent option.

We walked in here on a whim on a Saturday night and got a table right away. Within 15 minutes they were then on a wait. The service was great and the hot stone pots were amazing! Hot until the last bite.

Karelly was our server and she was excellent. She asked us if it was our first time there, it was. Then she explained the Monk Bowl to us and how to order it. She took her time and answered every question we had and made it easy for us to understand. The food was really really good! The portions are huge, I do mean huge. You will be taking some home with you. The two sauces on the table were very tasty. One of them was sweet n spicy and the other was soy sauce plus their extra flair to it. We also had the pork and shrimp pot stickers. These were excellent as well as everything else. The soy type sauce used with the pot stickers was very yummy.I forgot to take before pictures but here's what it looked like after we dug in.Words alone cannot describe how much we enjoyed this place. We will be back.Bobbi Jo and JeffVegetarian options: You can basically make everything vegetarian. They also have gluten free options as well.Kid-friendliness: There were plenty of kids there and they do offer kids portions from what I saw the kids eating.

Kinda bougie. The waitress apologized for my presence to other customers almost immediately. Cuz I am homeless in a wheelchair living on the street at the moment. Then, after I ordered egg fried rice and paid seven dollars for. I got something that could only be described as the laziest dish ever. The only things in the rice were oil, egg and a ridiculous amount of carrot "in half chunks". Not even julien carrots. I could have made better fried rice with a concussion. Sucks, cuz i actually like this place. It was like I wasn't even important enough to get a plate made with any sort of pride.

One of my favorite meals during our visit to SD area. My husband got the peanut Thai noodles with shrimp added and I got the chicken teriyaki with an over medium egg. Large portions, phenomenal food, and very prompt and helpful service. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

this place used to be so good, but it was just such a complete disappointment. Got the fallen monk bowl, the pork was so burned it wasn't edible, and the egg came scrambled for some reason. My friend got the shrimp which came with 3 shrimp which were so overcooked it was extremely chewy and one of them wasn't even deveined which is super gross. The servers are super nice, but the music was so low it wasn't audible, felt like there was no quality control or management in any way shape or form

I love it here! The monk bowls are amazing and customizable and delicious. My wife is very sensitive to anything spicy, and they do have menu items that are spicy that they don't list as spicy, so she wasn't able to eat some of her meal, but what she was able to have she enjoyed so there's that.

Stopped by for dinner and EVERYTHING was amazing. Karelly and Selene were our servers and they were very attentive and really sweet. We got the carnitas fries and they were bomb! For the entree we got a monk bowl and the beef broccoli noodles, needless to say, it was amazing! Definitely a place to check out next time you’re in Encinitas!
