Commercial bakery with very limited hours lunch cafe. Very visible store with a couple of boarded up windows in downtown, now featuring open and closed signs and lights on when closed. They have breads, pastries, sandwiches and fries. They can bake grill and deep fry. The menu is brief and the glass cases are not full. Was told that the baked goods menu varies some by day. Prices are relatively high, for example a grilled sandwich is fourteen, and a pastery is six bucks. Day old markdowns in plastic bags available. A front counter person serves a few tables in the mid day on weekdays to customers who say the food is very good. The cinnamon roll I ate was heavy and delicious ?. Hopefully the retail side can evolve into something like Schat's.
By far this bakery ? the sour dough bread is fluffy and huge.! Best sandwich I've ever had. Local businesses are using their bread fir their customers. The cinnamon rolls Huge, beautiful. And, oh! My! Goodness! BEARCLAWS! precious! Original! Bearclaws with the Original almond filling. ?No-one in Humboldt makes Bearclaws at all but fat cat. So delicious. Dill and cottage cheese bread. Cookies big.Check this bakery out! You WON'T be disappointed. I'M A RETURNING CUSTOMER FOR SURE! every visit something different on the racks to pick from. The only bad thing is; having to wait until Wed for it to open. ?
Wow! I’ve never had cinnamon rolls quite like these. First they are huge! Super soft, they have the right balance of cinnamon with icing and some come with nuts. Mark is always great to chat with. The store opens on Mon-Fri but you might want to double check before you go. They do have a lunch menu too, but yet to try it. We are all addicted to the cinnamon buns and I have even taken them as gifts to friends - everyone is always blown away by them :) A must try if you are in town!

I had a good time in the bakery. The turkey sandwich was great.
The best sandwiches in Eureka! You have to try the hot pastrami. The staff are also beyond wonderful.

Awesome bakery! Nice venue for yummy cinnamon rolls, eclairs, cookies, sandwiches and soup. The chili and Reuben were delicious, and greatly enjoyed the pecan cinnamon roll. Nice fresh bread too. Coffee, tea, wonderful food and pastries! Great customer service, met Phil, the owner, great talking with him about local history. Definitely worth visiting for lunch or treats! Nice view of the Gallery and nearby historic hotel.

Literally best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. All there baked good are gorgeous, and it smells amazing inside 10/10
I went today and shared a pastrami with potato salad and a slice of lemon raspberry cheesecake with my mom. The sandwich was perfect (pastrami tender, sour dough was perfect, not extremely sour which I like) the cheesecake had excellent flavor, perfect balance between fluffy and dense. The inside was clean. The staff was very friendly. This is our new favorite lunch spot.
