The service was fine. It was nothing impressive or disappointing. The atmosphere was basic and lacking a vibe. Most importantly for me is the food. The chips and salsa were awful. Salsa was very spicy but lacked flavor and had a odd brown color. The chips were cold and unseasoned. I ordered chicken and steak street tacos. The chicken street tacos were good but they used shredded chicken. The steak taco was bland and chewy. I also ordered a side of rice which also happened to be bland. Overall not the best but not the worst. I also think their prices on their menu might be incorrect because my bill seemed much higher than it should have been.

I had a shrimp burrito. It was by far the best burrito I've had in Humboldt. I had to eat it with a knife and fork though - it's that kind of place. Not a taqueria but sit down authentic mexican. Seems to be very high quality, I'm sure the other food is also great.

Absolutely amazing experience here. We’re in town visiting and decided to stop here for lunch. Service was excellent, space was clean, and we got our food super quick. I ordered the enchilada ranchera with chicken and oh my god, absolutely PHENOMENAL! The rice and beans were 10/10 too! Super tasty dishes that aren’t made with processed ingredients; everything is made in house and sourced locally.

I would come back. My food was delicious. It was light and fresh. My husband said his was "good American Mexican food." I like that they served whole beans rather than refried. The chips were meh. The service was very friendly but not super attentive. The cost was a bit much for the food but we were celebrating so I looked past that. The decor was nice but the temperature a little chilly for my taste. I recommend as long as you are ok with a slightly steeper bill than other choices.

The sauce in the chilles rellenos is too acidic, no flavor, they need to focus more on quality and taste.

Never a disappointment. Belem and staff are wonderful people. Food is excellent. Lots of quality vegetarian options. Been my son's favorite place for the last 14 years.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I order crispy chicken tacos and they're great.
