Erlei's is a small, no frill's place and I loved it. I got a coffee cake and a coffee and my companion got a muffin and a mocha; all four items were delightful. The person behind the counter was sweet and friendly, and even gave me a first responder discount. Even without the discount, the prices were completely reasonable.This really has nothing to do with the establishment, but sitting out front playing cribbage in this small town made everything taste even better.
My husband and I purchased one of the bacon and cheese quiches to share while we walked around. We didn't make it very far until we had to double back to the bakery because my husband ate it all. He said it was so delicious that he couldn't help himself. We got another one and also decided to try the 3 pepper quiche. Glad we did because it was very good! The owner and her little boy who was helping out are lovely people. This is a must stop if you visit Ferndale.

Try their cinnamon roll. One of the best I’ve ever had. They have other stuff, but I would say if you are gonna try one thing, go with the cinnamon roll. It’s big enough for 2 people to share. Super cute place, and super nice ladies that run it, you feel like you are at grandmas house. ONLY OPEN FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY !
