Visiting the Ivanhoe was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is enchanting, blending modern updates with the timeless charm of the 1870s. This place is a GEM! The food, service and atmosphere is excellent. I came to listen to music by one of the best local musicians, Mike Gibbs 🥰)in the bar area and ate off of the bar menu. Had the twice-baked potato, chicken fingers, fresh homemade bread, and clam chowder. All were exceptionally delicious and reasonably priced. Someone has gathered some of the most elegant yet functional antique furniture. Absolutely everything is exquisite. The art and design are truly stunning. The food is amazing, exquisite, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chefs know Kosher, offering a wonderful kosher style custom meal and a homemade kosher style breakfast. The bar menu is a bonus, with choices like the twice-baked potato, chicken fingers, fresh homemade bread, and clam chowder. The chefs special of local chanterelles was oh.so.good. A jalapeño margarita and a glass of rosé from a local winery were both great. The service is excellent, with staff who are welcoming, friendly, and make guests feel like VIPs. The Ivanhoe is a gem, a stunning restoration of a true Ferndale landmark that is elegant, timeless, and full of Ferndale charm. It is the perfect spot for a low-key weeknight after-work drink and bite to eat, and it is great to have it opened again.
