Ivanhoe Hotel, Restaurant & Saloon

I received a recommendation for this restaurant while staying at an Airbnb in Ferndale and boy am I glad that I dropped in. I visited during COVID 19 and unfortunately was only able to pick up food to go. However, the woman who answered the phone when I rang was extremely friendly. I was in town solo for a couple of days and showed at the restaurant without a reservation. The very nice hostess said she’d get me a table in 20 minutes or I could sit at the bar and eat. I chose the bar, and had a really nice time. Ordered the small potion of prime rib, and received a very generous cut that was delicious. The bartender poured a very good martini and gave me an interesting mini history lesson of the town. The town of Ferndale is a hoot as well. A nice couple...read full review

Popular with locals on a Saturday night. Garlic spicy prawns were huge and delicious, filet mignon was huge. Dinner salad had a bit too much dressing for my taste. Penne pasta was al dente (not my preference) and sauce didn't have much flavor. Veggies were cooked just right. Large meal for the price - reservations recommended. They were full on the night we went.
